The Celtics are 13-4 at home this year. In games that I've gone to, they're 1-3, so I haven't exactly seen the best of their playing. But last night was the first night in years that I've walked out of the Garden truly p---ed off.
I don't know what to say after that one. It looked like nobody showed up to play, with an exception for the guy who scored 33 and a bit of Marcus. How can you have a nine-point lead after one against a team that is missing its top 2 or 3 players, only to end up down double-digits in the fourth and finally losing? If they had only been mediocre, they would have won by 20. They looked bored out on the court during the game. I don't know where Horford was for most of the game. Ditto Aron Baynes. The refs were weak, but not much weaker than usual (a few petty fouls on Horford). But the refs didn't make us shoot 30-some odd percent.
Adding insult to injury: One of the benefits of being a STM is that I get to go out and play basketball on the court after the game. Whenever the Celtics win, they send a player out to take photos with us. After seeing the line-ups at the beginning of the game, I figured that there was no way that they would lose this one. Sigh. No player for us.
Seriously, deserve a refund after that piece of (insert word that wouldn't make it through the censors).
