I've been listening to Shutter Island's two "theme" tracks (composed a long time before the movie but they are the main tracks in it) since I've seen it.

The first one is Max Richter's The nature of Daylight and the second one is a mix of this song with Dinah Washington's Bitther Earth ; they are perfectly put together. But Max Richter's The nature of Daylight is just a masterpiece, it's a beautiful and sad song at the same time, I highly recommend you the listening!

took me 3 years to discover that Jimmy Eat World (formerly one of my favorite bands) released and album in 2007.  I just don't understand my mind sometimes. 

So now I can't stop listening to Always Be.

I hear they are putting together another album this year too.  I wonder when that will be out.

This song was directed at the lead singer of Taking Back Sunday in one of the few pop/punk/emo beefs I've heard. Basically the lead singer of TBS hooked up with the singer of Brand News girlfriend on the road.

yes!! I'm glad you posted that TBS video.. the clash between these two lead singers is epic and well documented..

they do get along now and have preformed these songs on stage together, ultimately it just made them both far more popular.


years ago, that was... nowadays it's clear that Brand New has won this battle, their band and music is classes and years ahead of anything TBS is doing these days, I know i saw both bands live this year.

Some real interesting and similar songs have come from each band. I enjoy listening to both bands every once in a while... but Brand New is much better in my opinion.

Big time TP for posting that video as well.. There's No I In Team is truly one of the best songs I've ever heard.

I know people will classify it as EMO and write it off.. but w/e ... songs sung with emotion are always better then not, clearly.

I remember when Eminem (and I am not an Eminem fan) went on stage and did that song Stan with Elton John I think at the MTV music awards or something... anyway, the performance was amazing because of the raw emotion Eminem was putting into his words.  It  was hair raising, same feeling I get from TBS  tracks a lot.

Ok, i am only posting this because of what i just came across in the video. I just went over this with a few other posters on this site, but go to 3:06 and im 99.8% sure that is Big Baby in the picture lol, oh my god. The language is very offensive, so you can keep your speakers off and just look if youd like.
