Celts looked awful tonight - what's up with KG?

he played way too many minutes in the first two games of the season.  same for Ray.

If that is already a problem the C's are in big trouble. This condensed season is gonna kill them.

We knew these back to backs would be brutal. The Heat just barely escaped tonight. This is going to be an ugly season and whoever wins the Championship this year will be the survivor with E in the gas tank.
It's the third game of the season and the team is gassed already? We might as well punt on the whole thing and start the wholesale right now.

So refreshing to watch a PF actually complete the "roll" part of the pick and roll, with KG it takes him a solid 5 seconds to collect and "roll"

KG is finished.

KG isn't finished, but I think he's in his "38-39 year old Hakeem" stage at this point.

at this rate, Doc will ensure KG of an early retirement

i'd be at peace with all this if we had only held up in that infamous 4th quarter disaster in 2010.
The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

Why'd you have to bring that up  :'(

I'm still trying to get over it.

Well, it is more that they haven't made it into game shape yet. That is what the extended training camp and preseason is for. By missing out on that players, and teams, around the league aren't into proper game shape yet. So, no, it isn't game 3 and being gassed but not being into the season yet. This is happening around the league, not just with The C's. And the condensed games aren't helping.

as I said earlier in the thread, you can pretty much chalk up 20+ losses already without even looking at the matchups because of the condensed schedule.  After that, you figure the team will probably win about three quarters of what's left and you're talking about a team fighting to hover around .500.

35-36 wins sounds about right to me.

correct on the too many minutes - Celts are in trouble if this is what we are going to get out of KG. He is supposed to be our defensive anchor and he looks the part of an anchor - stuck to the bottom

Shortened preseason was the same for everyone, so I don't see that as an explanation for us being beaten up like a flour bag when we were supposed to be one of the better teams in the East.

That still gets to me along with the FT numbers in that quarter and game alone. I don't even look at that game because it hurts me still.

One ring, one very competitive trip to the Finals.  I think this C's group will be remembered the same way the '04 Pistons group is remembered.  Really great for one year and very competitive for a few years after that, then quickly gone due to age.

I just hope the rebuilding Celtics don't look as discombobulated as the rebuilding Pistons do now.
