Ouch.  Sportscenter posted this on instagram, and for some reason the celtics fan page did too.
that's really not a fair comparison
Why did they arbitrarily choose December 3? Because that's when
Harden started to putting up a wilt chamberlain type of ppg streak

Lol.

That Houston team will be lucky to get out of the first round. Harden scores 60 and the Rocks win by 4. Yawn, move on.

His numbers this year are straight up preposterous. Since the 50 points he dropped on the Lakers on the 13th of December he's averaging 43-8-8. The amount of freedom he has on offence is insane.

Too bad he puts in literally no effort defensively, but he's definitely going to win another MVP

I think it’s just another way of quantifying how insane Harden’s numbers have been. Kyrie is an All-NBA level scorer, and Harden dwarves him.

Fun fact: League scoring averages have increased every year since 2011-2012 (96.3 ppg).  The largest leap by year that I can see within the past decade plus is 2017-2018 (106.3 ppg) to this year (110.5 ppg).

At what point will defense be brought back into the game?

I understand the dislike for a key player on a rival, but I think Simmons is poorly characterized here at times, and he's my fantasy asset.

Tonight, he had 21 points (9/14 FG), 10 rebounds, 15 assists, 1 steal, and 3 TOs in a win over the Spurs.

Third youngest player to notch 20 triple doubles (Big O, Magic).

Simmons is just like Westbrook.

They'll put up fantastic stats, but you'll never win a title with a player that can be so easily game planned against in a playoff series.

It took people a while to finally realize this about Westbrook, and people will start to eventually realize this about Simmons, too.
Except that Westbrook is OKC's #1 star and Simmons is really the Sixers 4th option in their half court offense.
Paul George is starting to look like a much better player than Westbrook.
George is the better player but Westbrook is OKC's #1 star.  He's got the highest usage (30% vs 28%) and is the driver of the offense.  Going back to Simmons his usage rate is only 21%.

Rockets basketball , especially with CP3 out is the worst product in the league to,watch , worse than Suns even.   48 minutes of Harden ISO ball complete turn off.

isn't it funny how Mike dantoni system is often talked about like its intricate when it's really basic - give the ball hog the hall. First it was Carmelo then harden

Imagine if Kyrie got 2 FT's every time a defender grazed him. Or looked at him.

He'd be unstoppable. Almost.... Harden-like.

It's amazing how little respect the refs give him, considering he is one of the marquee players. Did he get more calls in Cleveland? A friend of mine is a Bucks fan and he admitted even he is amazed by all the fouls they call on Giannis - and like Lebron, his physical superiority would suggest he doesnt need all the help from the refs.

That's is case when your are the only option on the team with the coach who likes the one trick pony offense.

The bigger perspective is that all of these 35 PPG scorers teams flame out in the first round and revolve around 45 regular season wins.
Kobe, MJ, Tmac now Harden.

Certainly it is not their fault that their teams go home early, but track record is clear. That architecture is limited to being a fun early exit team. One threat is easy to deal with, 5 threats (Boston, GSW) is hard to deal with.

I think there is no way he SHOULD win the MVP.  He has entered the most selfish stretch of games I have seen.  He is so in-efficient.  How the refs reward him with all of those free throws is beyond me.  His defenders should be backing off him and make him shoot better than 5 for 20 from three he did the other night.  he went 19 for 20 from the FT line and 5 for 20 from three.  Harden also plays NO defense.  LIke someone above said.  61 points and the team barely wins.  One of my least favorite players in the league.  I hate his beard too lol

What do you mean by saying "61 points and the team barely wins." ???
The rockets ???? Are you sure ???
got it on second read

Anyway i don't like his style but the fact is that he leads an expansion team roster to the playoffs.
And tbh when the C's were all over the place  i would have loved seeing Irving pulling a Harden scoring 40ppg and get a few extra wins

Regardless what we feel about Harden and the Rockets, lets hope he can keep it up and put up 50+ en route to a win over the Raptors tonight  ;D
