Raptors FINALLY LOSE! Brooklyn (without Kyrie) ends their insane streak

Cryrie should just crawl under a cave if he knows what's good for the Nets.
Team is waaaay better without his drama and iso dribble style.

Is it legal for Dwight Howard to shoot from two feet behind the line like that? Anyone know? Can you just shoot free throws from anywhere behind the line like that?

I've yet to actually witness this Dwight Howard form, but Nick Van Exel used to shoot free throws from 2 feet behind the line.  Said he was more comfortable.  As long as your behind the line, and don't cross it before it hits the rim, it's all legal.

I just discovered it’s also within the rules to “jump shot” a free throw. Only 1 random college player has ever done it. No nba player that I can find doing it

Bob Mcadoo used to shoot a jump shot free throw when he was on the Lakers from what I remember.  James Edwards on the 80's Pistons may have.

Wonder if we would consider trying to trade for him in off season, given his great shooting skill.  Couldn't guaranty him starter minutes unless Hayward left or would agree to come off the bench starting next season.  Also what would have to give up to get Buddy?

Probably Smart at minimum, to make the $$ work. Don't know if that would be a good trade or not.

I think he would contribute less than Smart;
- he is twice as expensive.
- he has no defensive versatility. can't guard PGs, is too small for wings
- he has no playmaking ability
- he is even 14 months older

It would be a clear loss for us.

He's unhappy not starting despite still playing 29 MPG and getting up 15.6 shots per game.

That's more shots than Brown gets as our team's third option! No way that could work with Tatum/Kemba/Brown even if Hayward departs.

This is just a reminder that Jaylen was very much a great teammate for accepting coming off the bench and playing hard last year.

Yeah, both Brown and Hayward had been unselfish for most of last season and this season.

I always forget how old Hield is relative to his years of service of other American NBA players. This is his age 27 season  :o.

He's closer to Hayward and Walker than he is to Brown and Tatum.

The whole league was too focused on the Clippers-Celtics 2OT game that they forgot there was the Pelicans/Thunder game going on, that one looked like another good game too! With OKC winning of course, but Zion with 32 points maaaan.

Late on this, but agree. OKC and NOP are both impressing this season. Obviously Zion coming in has sparked the Pelicans even more, and that Thunder team is real talented even without George + Westbrook. Credit to CP3 too.

Makes you wonder if they didn't go on that losing streak earlier in the year, are the Pelicans possibly a Top-6 team in the West? Either way, I doubt anyone really wants to face the Thunder in the 1st round, and Pelicans might actually give the Lakers a run for their money if they meet 1st round. I'm sure guys like Ingram and Ball will be even more motivated.
