Celtics Team @ Pacquiao vs Diaz Boxing Bout

My friend is connected with Team Pacquiao.  He was offering me a free ticket to the boxing match.  I was too lazy to drive to Las Vegas so I declined.

He called me just before the mtach started and told me that the entire Celtics team was at the venue to watch the fight, sitted just 10 seats away from him.  I am so mad at myself for not attending the match.

I'm wondering who among the Celtics enjoyed the boxing match and who least appreciated it.  I'll see if my friend noticed their reactions.

it was also rumored...that KG actually gave Manny PACMAN a call at the eve of the fight...

hmmm...didn't know that the celts was so into BOXING  ;)

even though PACMAN is my countryman, i can't forgive him for wearing a Spurs jersey before his first match with Barrera.. my KG-loyalty supersedes any other.. it is rumored though that PACMAN rooted for the Cs during the finals.. i dunno with that, maybe i won't hate him anymore.. the feeling's becoming neutral..

It was written in philboxing.com that the big 3 went into Manny's locker room after the fight to congratulate Manny. That is awesome, totally awesome. Way cool for Manny to have Celts there supporting him, game recognize game, the humble look out for the humble.

He wore an Angels jersey when he threw the ceremonial pitch in Anaheim, September of 2005. He wore a giants jersey this year when he was in Frisco, he wore a spurs jersey when he fought in 2003, because his fight was in San Antonio. I think its safe to say that its ok as long as he doesn't wear purple and mustard, i mean yellow,  well you know what i mean.

manny cheered for the celts in the finals.. this was confirmed by joaquin henson who interviewd manny during his training in la right before the celts-fakers finals

Congrats to Pacman for winning a record 4th title and being the first Asian to do so.

The fight was so lopsided that the outcome was never in doubt from the start. The only question in my mind was when was Diaz going down? Pretty similar to Game 6 of the '08 Finals  ;D

It's always nice to see a Champion (the Celtics) pay respect to another Champion (newly crowned lightweight champ Pacquiao). Pacman and the Celtics, it couldn't get any better than that  :).

ive started to cheer for the celtics only from the beginning
of the 2008 season. when KG and Ray joined the squad...
i even predicted a celtics-lakers finals match! and so it did
happen! I knew that now is the time! its CELTICS TIME!!!

upon learning that the whole celtics squad supported PACMAN
a.k.a. "the mexican SLAYER", made me so [dang] proud to be
a FILIPINO!

imagine? my favorite basketball squad, with my favorite boxer!!!
the mutual respect and admiration that they have for one another?
