This is why I like Danny though. Guys will pretend they know what Danny is going to do but people in the know realise it's a guess. So when it comes down to it they are inclined to make the deal for certainty

agreed but after watching, my impression is that danny didn’t respond until he knew who philly took, so basically because he was tryin to answer “correctly” he actually didn’t give it away ahead of time , IF danny said “we are taking Rob as long as he’s available then that would have been worse

Wasn't that after Philly had already picked and we were on the clock?  Makes no difference at that point.  Ainge sure didn't seem concerned after the fact.
