I used to really like Vitaly.

And (I'm just guessing here):
<drum roll> JEROME?  ;)

Only REAL fans here  ;D

Speak for yourself ACF, I only became a fan after Gerald Green won the dunk contest. ;D

Gee, I'm sorry, Redz.
Well, we're glad you hopped
on the wagon just in time for
No. 17. Perfect timing, man!

Things go in cycles.  The time will come when we are back at square one, hopefully we can retool and stay good as the big 3 decline.

Haha, Yeah, I thought Jermome was going to be special once he learned how to play.  He was a freak athlete, and he actually had a good year after he left the Celts, and then nobody signed him again.  I remember Hollinger saying he was better than many of the backup 4's with jobs.

Redz, a think a portion of today's bandwagoners are tomorrows diehards, but a lot of them will lose interest and get negative as soon as we don't make the playoffs.

A lot of the diehards will get negative as soon as we don't make the playoffs (hell, a lot of them are negative now that we are the champions).

Yeh, that's all I'm saying.  We all "jumped on" at some point.  Not everyone sticks around, but a great deal of new fans will stick around become lifers.

Admittedly I jumped on a bit earlier than my previously stated Gerald Green dunk contest inspiration...In my case it had to do with being born to a father who would have shown me the door if I rooted for anyone else.  Plus they had Hondo!  How could you not love the C's?

My point is simply this new popularity will lead to more diehards by the simple math of it.
Yup

the difference is diehards get negative and upset and debate for hours if Gerald Green is the next t-mac or kedrick brown

bandwagons just stop paying attention completely, but ya as Redz said,,everyone jumped on at some point (birth for me), and new bandwagons does breed diehards, which is always a good thing

If this is a list of underwhelming Celts players, where are Michael Smith and Acie Earl or Dino Radja's buddy what's-his-name, um, Vrankovic?  Moiso is frequently cited in this category.  Poor guy.

Or are we looking for blips who had an OK year or two for us like Fred Roberts or Eric Montross?  The previously mentioned Alaa Abdelnaby fits pretty well here, he had some good efforts out there for us.

Or the seniors tour (past their prime when they joined the Celtics):  Sherman Douglas, The X Man, 'nique?  I'd think Pervous fits this category.

And plenty of others . . .
