Where is he... so he can make clarify these rumors?

It's literally sitting on the bench - right near the coaching staff. Should he interrupt the game and just address the crowd right now?

RJ87 and Gouki88 the presidents of the Kyrie Irving is life fanclub

Of course

Yes he should clarify. And tell the world I plan to resign!

Also would be nice if he sacrifices some money for a chance at a championship, signs a two year extension so Celts can trade for AD in the next few days

You asked if he was there, right? Are you mad because he is and it killed your plans to complain that he's not?

And he should sacrifice jack squat. When Danny trades x-player for whatever reason, he does so in the best interest of the franchise (i.e. Isaiah Thomas). Kyrie - and all players - should do what's best for them every single time. There's no such thing as loyalty in basketball. It's a business.

I aint mad... what for

Also with everything you just stated... you see Davis capitalizing on business (supermax)??

He wants to chase a legacy (or so he says)

Kyrie can also start this process

He can make max after 2 years... will it really matter vs opportunity to win championships along the journey

Davis is 100% capitalizing on business by hiring a high powered agent and forcing his way out of NOLA despite his history there. You know what winning and a bigger market mean? More visibility. More visibility equals more endorsement deals. He can easily make up the difference in supermax money vs a 5 year max/bird right deal in endorsements. Don't be naive.

And Kyrie has a ring already, his priority should be securing a longterm max deal.

Trade Kyrie for Ball and Ingram.

We still have depth and we can ride with a full blown youth movement.

Kyrie wants to make movies so LA and NY will be his preferred spots.

Yes trade for Ball... A PG that is shooting 41.7% from FT...

Where do you geniuses think of these terrible trade threads? Also if we traded Kyrie, we could certainly garner more than two okay promising prospects..

I seriously don't understand the hate for Kyrie... I mean this guy has been putting the team on his back when half our team is shooting 3 pointers, and taking ugly contested shots/not running back on defense..

Without Kyrie, we certainly would be 6th or 7th seed at this point.

Well he wants to play for the Lakers and make movies.

LeBron is there. If AD goes there they can actually compete and get revenge against the Warriors.

I would take any pass-first PG at this point.

We HAVE scorers and shooters we don't need Ball to score. He has a high basketball IQ and terrific passing prowess.

Plus this team is just more enjoyable to watch without Kyrie holding this team's future hostage.

Will he sign or won't he sign.

It's very frustrating.

You legit wrote this a week ago:

"Always respected his basketball skill and talent and thought his leadership, defense, and size were negatives...but he's come a long way.

Still young and growing, learning, and maturing.

His play of late has been phenomenal."

So what has Kyrie said or done - and I mean him, personally, not "sources" - that now means he's holding the team's future hostage?

Well he called LeBron and apologized for being a "young player with attitude" or to some similar effect.

He also made it public. Why would he do this?

Obviously to reconcile and try and get a foot in the door to LA LA land.

My gut tells me Kyrie wants to be on a veteran team that competes for championships AND also in a market where he can pursue other ventures such as acting.

LA fits the mold.

Sure I would want him to resign but if the guy has another preference then by all means let him go.

We just need to get something of value back.

Exactly why does Kyrie have to go public to refute the latest bogus rumors? Who does he have to tell that these rumors are bogus?

Celtics should do whatever they can to re-sign this guy.

Also, I am pretty sure even if Kyrie opts out of his future contract right now and signed an extension costing him tens of millions of dollars that he is still playing now under the extension he signed in Cleveland that is causing the Rose rule to be applied. There is really nothing Kyrie can do now that can cause Davis to be traded here this year to play alongside Kyrie.

I'm convinced half the posters here are multis and half the stuff they say should not only be taken with a grain of salt.
"I bomb atomically, Socrates' philosophies and hypotheses
Can't define how I be dropping these mockeries."

Is the glass half-full or half-empty?
It's based on your perspective, quite simply
We're the same and we're not; know what I'm saying? Listen
Son, I ain't better than you, I just think different

He doesn't need to go public but it would be nice if he told AD that they were bogus and tried to recruit him during all-star weekend.

That's right, Triboy, you tell them. Don't let you being wrong stop you from asking your questions and demanding Irving answer up.
