His dad is annoying from a media standpoint, but I don't think that is actually that much of a factor.

If Lonzo Ball was a good NBA player, he would be desirable. Lonzo's problem is that he's just another guy.

I wonder how many teams will shy away from the Lamelo hype, considering that Lonzo was more Kardashian than Magic/Jason Kidd/any other ridiculous comparison made a couple of years ago.

I dunno. His numbers in the NBL are kinda cringeworthy. Sure, his scoring, rebounding, and assists look good, but 37% FG and 25% 3PT? Yikes.

Exactly right. Precisely the same problems that Lonzo had, but without the defensive proficiency. Just gambles (like late-Boston Rondo) on that end

In a crappy league where last year's MVP (Bogut) was a 3rd stringer in the NBA. It is not like Ball was playing in Spain or the Euroleague. This was Australia!

Yeah, our best guys are players like Bryce Cotton, Casper Ware & Julius Randle. Not exactly world beaters

Lonzo may not be fare off.

I've just started paying more attention to this draft and my first gut reaction is that its similar to 2013 with the added variable 5 out the likely top 15 are players not currently playing in the USA. Add to that the Wiseman drama and Cole Anthony injury and this draft will have a lot of mystery to it.


Giving the lottery a really quick look the upper tier order may very a lot from team to team dependent on fit and need but I suspect these are the top 4.


A Edwards
J Wiseman
L Ball
C Anthony

Out of the current 8 worst records .I wouldn't be surprised if the Knicks or Pistons took Ball or Anthony at #1. ATL, Warriors and Pelicans took Edwards. Cavs, Bulls and Wiz took Wiseman.
