I often find the best tonic for negativity (after whiskey), is to make a list of what's going right.  After a couple days of reading about what's "wrong" with Celtics Blog, perhaps a few members will join me in listing CelticsBlog positives?

Positive things about CelticsBlog:

1.  That it is not GrizzliesBlog.

2.  Instant updates on our favorite NBA squad, both by forum post and main page-      best of both worlds!

3.  Not brown-nosing or anything, but Jeff's persistence in improving the blog
    over the years.

There's a small start.  Please add yours!

Nice job, man. TP

The GrizzliesBlog line is my favorite.

I guess I'll add that the response to someone's concerns indicates at the very least there is a high level of caring about the quality/status of the blog, which will inherently make it a better place. The more people care about something, the better off it will be.
"Let me call him," Floyd said.

The man shook his head. "O.J. doesn't give out his cell," he said. "He'll call you."

I'll add a couple more things I like about CelticsBlog:

1.  I've learned to appreciate the NBA game much more thanks to the comments of some of the old hands and new hands

2. Hanging on the game thread is the next best thing to watching the game with 20, 40, 60 or even 80+ rabid C's fans.  And I don't even have to drive home afterward.

I'll say the people on the blog make it what it is - its the forums.  I honestly didn't like the transition to SBNation, especially when the forums were hidden, but the staff managed to bring the forums back to what they were, which is great

  • Yup
Is anyone counting all of these blessings?

I'm always amazed by how much non-Celtics stuff I learn about on here.

I got a years worth of reading out of the recommendations in the book thread for one
Yup

TP TTLG I like this topic. I appreciate Celtics Blog for:
- being entertaining even in the offseason
- every bring back "insert name here" thread
- posters whose viewpoints give me new ways to appreciate my Celtics (although I'm still waiting eagerly for that one post that will turn me into a rabid TA fan)
- information on the Celtics, the NBA, everything else and some randomly interesting stuff thrown in

Mike: Everybody 60 or over knows Tommy as a player. Everybody 40 or over knows Tommy as a coach. Everybody 20 or over knows Tommy as a broadcaster. And everybody 10 or under thinks he's Shrek.

Long time no see!  I thought of you the other day when I was thinking of all the CB members I don't see enough of during the offseason.

I don't think "Zach Randoblob" would be as humorous as Scalablob.... I like it just the way things are.  :)
