Another reason why the “I’d trade Tatum for Davis” folk are short-sighted. Tatum has a chance to be the next Durant. Is Davis a top 5 player? Sure but he will eventually be a free agent, has a terrible injury history, team has gone nowhere for years... These things can't be ignored. Tatum took horford brown and scrubs to the ecf g7
Btw it looks like we have our first official confirmation of tatums real height- 6’10. Professional Basketball players aren’t going to get something like a teammates height incorrect in interviews.
Tatum doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell of being the next Durant.
And that's not a dig at Tatum, or a praising of Durant. It's just a nod to the impact of Durant's height on his game and how others have to deal with his game.
Tatum cannot possibly win a scoring title and/or MVP?
Tatum cannot make it to the Finals with two future MVP’s alongside him?
Tatum cannot build a 3-1 lead against a 73-win team, only to blow lead and join said team?
I think KD is a generational talent, but let’s not be overly impressed with his resume prior to joining the Warriors. It’s not totally inconceivable that Tatum cannot becomes as impactful as KD (ie a top-5 player).
