Why did Kanter only play 6 minutes while Grant Williams started ?
The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

Because Miami plays a quick 4/5 who can attack him off the dribble and a stretch 5 for basically the entire game. Rough match up for him. Brad was scrambling to find a lineup that worked and Semih at PF from second quarter on was the key.

Yep, a lot of times theres TWO of those type in the game between Adebayo, Leonard and Olynyk. Its maybe one of the worst matchups for him in the league. Also ball handling guards like Butler/Nunn who could abuse him in space if he gets switched.

I think Brad Stevens deserves a lot of props for today's game. He looked around madly in the first quarter for the combination of O and D, realised that Javonte/Kanter wasn't effective. Realised that Semi was going to be important, realized that Bob, was only needed when Myers/Bam was on.

Made all-round great adjustments. TP, Coach.
