I think the Bucks have gotten a lot better so far this off-season; they've definitely shored up some points of weakness.  If Bogut and Jennings continue to improve and stay healthy they could be the 3rd or 4th best team in the East next season.

That said, I still don't believe they'll be contenders.  They'd have to overachieve to reach the ECF.  Very good chance they're better than the Hawks, though - and perhaps even the Celtics.
Never forget the Champs of '08, or the gutsy warriors of '10.

I think their starting five will be somewhat like this.
PG: Jennings
SG: Salmons
SF: Delfino
PF: Mbah a Moute
C: Bogut

Do you think that team, or the Grizzlies are a better team

Gasol
Randolph
Gay
Mayo
Conley

Thabeet
Sam young
x. henry
g. vasquez
dom. jones

grizzlies are stacked

The Bucks could be as good as the Magic next season at there best, but not as good as us.
You do realize that the Magic might be better than us next season?

why would the magic be better than us? They were lucky we didn't sweep them in the playoffs, and we might be better than last year.

Bucks will be decent but for the record, Maggette is a notoriously selfish player, Gooden put up contract numbers and has never been a consistent threat. Jennings and Bogut are good but not great.

Bottomline, Bucks are far from the ECF.

How are we better than last season?? We're older and only have half a team so far! The bucks got better. No big deal. The Hawks were "contenders" all year but failed in the playoffs because they're young--which is the same reason they gave us trouble all year. Youth, matchups and good health go a long way in 82 games, but you can't rely on youth alone in the playoffs--I think the Bucks may struggle with that as well if/when they get there.

They're a bit like the Bucks in the way, that they have a lot of potential.. I just don't know who's their on-floor leader? Mayo? Gay? Conley? I don't buy any of those to be someone who'd lead a team to anything great - at least not yet.

Randolph doesn't work on teams wanting to achieve anything either, he's to me at least proven to be a player only playing for stats, never W's.. Gasol is very solid.

The bench is more or less players with potential, however it's rather hard to say how it's going to turn out.

Of the two I'd definitely say the Bucks are the best team, at least if we look at off-season potential.

.. Also, in my Bucks lineup I totally forgot about Ilyasova.. He will most likely at PF ahead of Mbah a Moute.

The Grizz are too big, fast, and athletic for the Bucks to handle.

They might lose JJ. And I dont see them making any acquisitions but trying to dump nelson. I'm not expecting a lot from the magic next year.

I have a hard time seeing the Bucks making it past the first round of the playoffs. Just to many really good to outstanding role players and not enough real star players to have to depend on when things get really tough.

Grizz are one solid PG (Greivis Vasquez) & one great perimeter Defender (Ronnie Brewer) from contending in the west. They have enough great scorer to be in every game, and enough size up front to give opposing teams fits. I hope Greivis Vasquez lives up to their expectations. I'm looking forward to watching him bring the passion to that franchise.

Do you mean contending for a playoff spot or a title?

Winning the west. They are part of three team that can upset the Lakers in the West. The teams are OKC, Blazers, and Grizzlies. The Houston Rockets can enter the discussion if they acquire Chris Bosh & Yao stays healthy throughout.

Well if that point guard is Magic Johnson, maybe but otherwise, I think you are seriously over rating the below .500 Grizzlies.
