Lol. At the end of last season I was more shocked when AD didn’t drop 40 & 15 than when he did

Probably.  Teams that win titles usually have top-5 players.

That’s the thing, there are only so many top-5 players in this league while there are dozens of good/great players.

This isn’t a matter or trading four quarters for a dollar, sometimes you have to give $1.75 worth of change to get that crispy bill.

There’s a larger gap from top-5 to top-25 then there is top-50 to top-100.

If you have the chance to acquire a top-5, perennial MVP candidate such as AD (while keeping your core intact), you have to seriously consider it, even if you are giving up some legit, superstar talent and depleting depth. You can rebuild a bench, you can’t just pluck a generational talent out of nowhere whenever you want.
