Great news.  Although they would wear on me at times, they were always a lot of fun.  And besides, this will hopefully mean they have given up on the terrible new bands they have started since breaking up.

  • Yup
I caught about 30 seconds of the Grammy's last night and saw their big announcement (right after they dissed on the Jonas Brothers a bit - how bizarre was Stevie Wonder & The Jonas Bros?)
Yup

You know their songs are all the same,
A little chick but mostly really lame.

They on-ly sing,
a-bout kids things,
Don't you real-ize,
They're like for-ty.

na na na.......

Seriously though you can put the big bucks down on the sure bet that when the snow goes away and its the first *real* day of spring I will drive around for like 2 hours windows down playing only Blink 182: Dude Ranch, Enema of the State, and Reel Big Fish: Turn the Radio Off and Why Do They Rock so Hard.

I will probably also play some Goldfinger. and some nofx. and some aquabats. Don't judge me.

Dude Ranch and Turn the Radio Off are two of my favorite albums ever...and I will throw Hangups by Goldfinger in there as well.  How about a little Lagwagon as well?

Anyways, I am just hoping that this summer Blink decides to go on Tour with Greenday and New Found Glory.  I know its pathetic, but I would pay a whole lot of money to go to that show.

Turn the Radio Off and Why Do They Rock so hard are classic pop punk/ska records...I used to love Reel Big Fish..what a fun live band. Dude Ranch and Enema were ridiculously catchy too. My music tastes have moved on but I still like those bands.

This is the most depressing news I've heard in some time.

I don't understand why they're coming back.
I think the entire crowd at the Grammys felt the same way when they wearily applauded the band's triumphant return. It was kind of embarrassing that they presented best rock album... but that's just my POV obviously!

They are coming back, because they are going to sell out every show they have this summer, and likely sell a couple million copies of their new CD.  It will take a little while for people to realize that they simply aren't that good.

these guys sounded sooooo whiney. yet, i liked them. at least everything i heard on the radio. fun songs. one thing i hated about alternative music(is that what they are? i dunno) is there was some depressing stuff. egads. nirvana ,pearl jam, etc. wicked wicked musicians but talk about debbie downers!
i'm only in my early 30's but i'm an 80's cheesy music guy for the most part. journey, chicago, etc. there were other great SINGERS in the 80's. i never felt guys like cobain and eddie vedder had good voices. i like a little more melody and yes.. some cheese  ; D   too each his own though.
