Brad doesn't sound too happy about that last shot

Payton Pritchard doesn’t miss a shot through 3 quarters and doesn’t get a shot in the 4th.

I don’t care why anyone says. Stevens is a trash coach and is holding this team back. That’s the best play you can come up with?!?!? ****H.

I’m willing to bet that wasn’t the play Brad drew up

If so, that's even worse, as that would mean that his young star doesn't even respect him enough to honor his play calls. Too soft either way. Time to go.

There is zero chance that in 3 recent games down by 1 (MIA game 1 ECF,  MIL, and IND), the play Brad calls up is a prayer 3 by Tatum. I have high hopes for Tatum, but guy thinks a lot more highly of himself than he should. Plays with absolutely no fire. He knew was a superstar when he entered the league and that's exactly how he plays. I would give the ball to anybody but Tatum at the ends of games. Pritchard, for instance, would have gotten a much better look either by passing or creating for himself. Obviously Tatum refuses to do it. I do not put this on Brad - except for the fact that his best player does not care to follow his direction.
His idol is Kobe. The only difference is that Kobe proved his case much more often than Tatum

Kobe takes a short two or drives to the hole in a one point game.

Also, someone explain to me why Grant Williams is in the game with 8 seconds left in the game? Basically allowed Sabonis to get the easy score?

Probably because Thompson was getting absolutely schooled by Sabonis earlier. That is an underrated bummer to this game as Thompson absolutely needs to hold his own on the defensive end. We didn't start the comeback until TL came in and dominated. I mean, where would we have been tonight w/o him and Pritchard?

Also, Turner, McDermott, and a 1st is looking a lot better than the TPE minus two 2nds right now.

yup.

There was lots of time left. And he decided to take the most difficult shot

If there was 2 or 3 sec left I understand. But with 7 sec and thats the best look?

terrible

So either Brad drew up a truly garbage play, or Tatum & everyone else on the court ignored his drawn up play and went along with a Tatum heave. Dunno what’s worse.

Nice to see a little bust out by Pritchard. More ball movement please. More TIMELORD Please.

Amen - more ball movement. Whatever happened to the beautiful player and ball movement from Stevens' early years ?

Yeah bad look either way, though I bet he’ll say that the Pacers took away the play and that Tatum was forced to take the shot or something like that

That is a VERY Brad thing to say indeed.

Called it

You nailed it, sadly. Brad is so predictable now, on court and off

It is all on Brad.... look up that popular definition of insanity.... it is obvious that Tatum is out of control or not being coached. He is not developing and he is getting too much undeserved run. He should have been benched for a while after refusing to pass the ball to his open three point gunner that was on a roll.  Time to go searching for a new coach or at least an assistant that can light a fire under this team.

think Brad needs to start going to Jaylen more often when the game is on the line.  at least he drives and he's showing more ability to pass to open teammates.  he can also finish with contact.

With how Brad treats Jaylen, I wouldn't be shocked if Jaylen has shagged the lad's wife ::)

Love Tatum but I’m scared he’s just Rudy gay 2.0 and he consistently just makes my fear worse and worse.

It’s possible that the play Brad drew was too complicated for our players so Tatum just went for heave with time close to running out

Its possible Brad did not call any play and told Tatum to do whatever he chose. That was still the wrong play.
