I didn't know Michael Jackson attempted to accept the artist of the millennium award, when Brittney confused him and gave him a fake cake. This is hilarious.

Interesting. Apparently today was "Spirit Day".

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spirit_Day

Apparently on Spirit Day you are encouraged to wear purple to show support for LGBT kids who are bullied.

I assume who are bullied as a result of being LGBT.  Interesting that it's not just for all bullied kids, but that's beside the point entirely.

I'm not trying to make any political or moral statements here at all. I'm kinda soul searching, because I wore purple all day and did not realize what day it is.  I wonder if people noticed it and thought something about me I wasn't aware of.

I have to ask myself if I would have worn it anyway. I'd like to think since it was for young bullied people I might have. I just didn't know.

I'm just posting it because I imagine there are others that may have worn purple and didn't realize it either.

Also purple is an interesting color to choose. I live in a place where lots of people wear purple. Local school colors and whatnot. I mean a rainbow or even pink is asking a lot of some people. So I guess purple makes sense.

I don't know. I have no answers here.

Its not just spirit day, but its a month for domestic violence awareness (with the bullying, sexual assault, etc..)

I went to a dinner on Wednesday for a local domestic violence aid agency, and there were lots of speeches from law enforcement, directors, etc..

But they had a 'survivor' get up and talk about her own abuse..and it hit home.

Wow. Um. Were people wearing purple?  Just wondering. I mean you never know when the next St Patrick's style color day comes along or like the pink receiver gloves and shoes the NFLers wear during breast cancer month. I just want to know these things

I find it amazing life in Ukraine can be so depressing that people are actually returning to Chernobyl

This is so funny. They asked Americans what former president would they put in charge during these trying times. Coming in last with 1% of the vote was William Henry Harrison. The guy that died a month after taking office.  I find it amazing that for every 100 people polled one of them said that guy. They must have been joking.

really? Weird.  Some teen won't apologize for something she tweeted about the Gov of Kansas.

Wow. A 3rd grader weighed 200lbs and was taken from the parents. Also there was a 90 lbs 3 year old. Crazy. Wouldn't mind reading your thoughts over in CEs.

This may seem really ignorant (because it is), but I don't even understand how people in the middle east/afghanistan/pakistan can target specific women effectively when they cover their faces. How would they know who is who?  Sorry for the debbie downer thought of the day. I just find the whole thing amazing.

This TMQ from espn is pretty good today

http://espn.go.com/espn/page2/story/_/id/7320267/tmq-decodes-secrets-green-bay-packers-success

good point about how if ncaa players were talking to agents before big games it would be  a huge scandal, but if a coach's agent is talking to other schools before a big game it's no big deal
