Game Notes: It's difficult to list a starting lineup or any details for a preseason game, especially one with a crazy training camp and preseason like this one has been. Doc has said that he's not taking these preseason games seriuosly, so expect to see the younger guys like Avery Bradley, JaJuan Johnson, and E'Twaun Moore get a lot of playing time along with the new guys like Brandon Bass, Chris Wilcox and Keyon Dooling.
Rondo has missed several practices with a sprained ankle but returned to practice on Friday and participated in the scrimmage that was part of the open practice for the fans. He looked good and should see some time in this game, even if it's not a lot.
Kevin Garnett did not play in the scrimmage because of a thumb injury. Xrays were negative and he is expected to play in this game.
Just a guess, but Doc will probably start Ray, KG, Rondo and JO, but if he does, don't expect them to play many minutes. Keyon Dooling will probably start if Rondo doesn't and ordinarily I would say that Jeff Green would start in Pierce's place but with the mystery surrounding his health, I'll guess that Quisy will get the call to start at SF.
For the fans who have waited so long to watch Celtics basketball again, this won't just be a trivial pre-season game. It will be the start of a season that many doubted would ever take place. So, no matter which players are on the court and for how long, fans will be watching and enjoying the action.
