watched the game tonight on tape delay.

what a crap way to close out a game.  it was theirs for the taking. from missing layups, FTs and the horrific TO by Kemba to give up the winning basket for OKC was just a completely inexcusable meltdown.  how do we not come up with an inbounds play that allows the receiving player some room to move with the ball instead of getting turned towards the C's basket and doubleteamed?  just an awful way to lose.  team is looking far to ragged in the last several games -- healthy or not.

Bad health is a big factor, but you're right, there's definitely more to it than that. Lots of sloppy play, failure to execute, missed layups, missed free throws, turnovers, "what were they thinking?" moments.

I'm not sure if it's a matter of them buying into the hype around the team when they were doing well and when they have a good stretch in a game they start coasting.  they had a really good stretch in the second quarter and then just seemed to let up on D and get sloppy on offense again

It looks like this team still isn't over that Brooklyn loss as Brad Stevens mentioned that in tonight's post-game interview.

The Brooklyn Nets 100% broke the Celtics, ironically. Again, you never allow 51 points to happen in the 4th quarter, ever, at the TD Garden.

We got all cute, and took plays off then tried to win it back at the end.

Some of this loss is on the players but CBS rotations were suspect as well.   Taking Tatum out after that T and putting in Wannamaker killed us for that stretch.  His mandatory rotations at the end of third allowed them to storm back into the game.

This Kemba knee situation has doomed the team IMO. Needed a bench upgrade and Ainge didn’t do it. 4 straight L’s coming up.
Agree..did not help the bench kill this team this season plus Walker knee is a big concern
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

I'm glad they lost instead of squeaking one out. They demonstrated a lot of lazy habits in the game that need broken going into the playoffs. A win would make them forget. A loss sticks with them.

The past few games they seem to have given up a lot of offensive rebounds off free throws.  Mostly at pretty important moments of the game if I recall.

Kemba was playing very poorly before his knee injury. He hasn't played well in a long time.

Tatum +/- was team-worst - 16 last night.  Not his night either.  He took ball away from Hayward too much last night, especially in the last quarter.
