I saw a tweet that listed Shaq's teammates and posed the question does he have the greatest collection of teammates ever, so it got me to thinking about fun that could be.

So here is what they had for Shaq

PG - Nash, Penny
SG - Kobe, Allen
SF - Lebron, Pierce
PF - Garnett, Amar'e

They obviously did not include center since he was the center, but for fun, here are the 3 deep at center

C - J.O., Mourning, Big Z

They also left off Grant Hill, Gary Payton, Karl Malone, Dennis Rodman, Glen Rice, Eddie Jones, Horace Grant, Antoine Walker, Rick Fox

So does Shaq have the greatest teammate list in history or does some other HOFer top him?  Maybe Kareem (off top of head Oscar, Dandridge, Magic, Haywood, McAdoo, Worthy, Cooper)?  Or Rodman (off top of head - MJ, Pip, Shaq, Kobe, Dirk, Nash, DRob, Zeke, Joe D).
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Among HOFers, that will be hard to top.  Shaq moved around a lot.

I bet there’s some journeyman who can beat it, though.  Off the top of my head, Robert Horry has a hell of a roster.

Hakeem / Shaq
Duncan
Kobe
Drexler / Ginobili
Nash / Kidd / Parker / Cassell / K. Johnson

Steve Kerr:

PG: Kevin Johnson, Tony Parker, Mark Price, Terrell Brandon, Terry Porter
SG: Jordan, Manu Ginobili, Dan Majerle, Hornacek, Ron Harper, Steve Smith
SF: Pippen, Eddie Johnson, Sean Elliott, Kukoc
PF: Duncan, Kemp, Rodman, Sheed, Tom Chambers, Larry Nance, Zach Randolph, Horace Grant, Dale Davis
C: Shaq, Robinson, Daugherty, Robert Parish, Kevin Willis

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

Just trying to find guys that played with Jordan/Magic/Larry.

Wes Matthews (played with Bullets, Sixers, Bulls, Lakers, Hawks in the 80's.  So he can do Magic/Jordan/Dr. J/Kareem.

Jordan
Magic
Kareem
Dr. J
Elvin Hayes
Bobby Dandridge
Wes Unseld
Dominique Wilkins
Mo Cheeks
Bobby Jones
Moses Malone
Alvin Robertson
Artis Gilmore
Worthy
Michael Cooper

Bob McAdoo can link a few stars (himself, 70's Knicks, 80's Lakers/Sixers, pre-Bird Celtics).  So he can do Magic/Dr. J/Kareem, with tons of other guys to fill in however you please.

Bob McAdoo
Adrian Dantley
Moses Malone
Walt Frazier
Earl Monroe
Bill Bradley
Spencer Haywood
Tiny Archibald
Dave Cowens
Jo Jo White
Bad News Barnes
Kareem
Magic
Jamaal Wilkes
James Worthy
Michael Cooper
Dr. J
Mo Cheeks
Barkley

I don't think a journeyman is a good comparison, I even hesitated to mention Rodman for that reason because while he is a HOFer he was most certainly a role player.  To really get a fair comparison you kind of need it to be a top 2 or 3 player on his team for most of his career.  That really makes it more apples to apples.

On the C's, Hondo is interesting just given he played with multiple title cores (he missed Tiny and McAdoo though)

PG - Cousy, JoJo, Bing
SG - S. Jones, Westphal
SF - Maxwell
PF - Tommy, Sanders
C - Bill, Cowens, Embry

McAdoo another former Celtic that is interesting (that last year he spent in Philly really sends him over the top, but he had so many years as a bench guy, I'm not sure it is a great comparison)

PG - Magic, Tiny, Frazier, Cheeks, JoJo
SG - Monroe, Cooper
SF - Dr. J, Dantley, Worthy, Bradley
PF - Barkley, Haywood, Jones, Rambis
C - Kareem, Moses, Cowens, Lanier
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Hmm, that last thing with Barkley got me thinking.

PG - KJ, Francis, Cheeks
SG - Drexler, Toney, Majerle, Ainge
SF - Dr. J, Pippen, Finley, Ceballos
PF - McAdoo, Chambers, Jones
C - Hakeem, Moses, Willis

C and SF are stacked with a MVP at PF and a Dream Teamer at SG.
