Celtics: Hayward, Ingles, 11th pick (Hornets), Baynes, Dunn

Hawks: Edwards

Hornets: Conley Jr, Williams III, 30th pick (Jazz), 47th pick (Celtics)

Jazz: Fournier, Smart, M.Brown, G.Williams

Raptors: Parker

--------------------------------------

Celtics

Horford
Tatum
Hayward
Brown
Dunn

Ingles, Prichard, Thompson, MLE, Nesmith, Baynes, 11th pick, Langford

I know Hayward isn't coming back but for me this is a real 'Spurs team', in that the group is greater than the sum of its parts.

For Udoka to publicly state that there wasn't enough ball movement last season is really telling, it means he won't stand for Tatum & Brown playing your turn my turn iso ball. I think people really take for granted how great a passer Hayward is, how important he was for us and even for the Hornets. Apparently Ingles and Hayward were very close friends in Utah and although Ingles is something of a poor man's version of Gordon, he's still a very Spurs type of guy.

--------------------------------------

Hornets

Williams III
Washington
Bridges
Ball
Conley Jr.

Hornets get an All-Star in Conley Jr, a great mentor, leader and for me perfect balance for someone like LaMelo Ball, where they both love playing on and off the ball.

Getting Williams III is something they've lacked for a long time, a true talented rim protector and even someone who can pass the ball well within a system. I believe Rob will cost more then his value for Boston in restricted free agency and it's a good time to get value back for him.

--------------------------------------

Jazz

Gobert
(FA)
Bogdanovic
Smart
Mitchell

Fournier, Clarkson, O'Neale, G.Williams, M.Brown

I think this trade is very beneficially for the Jazz, as Conley Jr. is going on 34 and for me Mitchell should operate with the ball to be effective, with the other guard like a Marcus Smart, who's job is to take on most of the defensive responsibilities. Fournier gets to play with his friend and countryman Gobert, so I'm sure will be happy with a sign & trade. Getting Fournier can also allow their management to shop Clarkson for more assets or a solid power forward.

The Jazz importantly get a very cost controlled talented back up centre in Moses Brown, something they've been lacking.

I’d rather just trade for Conley and cut all that other stuff out of there

Is there an issue I've missed? Or just not a fan of the idea?

Well, if you want the teams receiving the picks to choose their own players, it would be illegal because it would require an arrangement with Fournier in advance.  The NBA clearly enforced this ban by mixing such an arrangement with Bogdanovich and Milwaukee last year, and docking Milwaukee a draft pick.

Ah, okay thanks I understand.

I remember now that for years GM's have been pushing to have free agency and trades available before the NBA Draft, which makes sense because how do you know who to draft or even if you need to use your pick, if you haven't filled out your depth chart.
