Curious to see if you guys like the fit here. Simmoms can't shoot? Greatest shooting backcourt ever. Simmons shrinks in playoffs. Curry, Thompson and Green can lead.

Warriors can offer up Wiggins or Wiseman and Green  and could combine the #7 pick and or the #14 pick.

Wiseman
Simmons
Draymond
Thompson
Steph Curry

Would be great if they can keep Kelly Oubre.

I'm out on the idea of Simmons as a significant player on a playoff team until proven otherwise.

Sure, Simmons would be nice to have on that Warriors team.  But you know what? A lot of tall athletic finishers could also be good. Many of them can hit free throws.

I don't like the idea of playing Simmons with Draymond, either.

This has been discussed a lot by major media, biggest issue is lack of spacing with Simmons and Green together.

Don't see the point in Ben Simmons + Draymond.

They'll get in each other's way reducing their own effectiveness while their combined flaws will combine to hurt the team even more than normal.

Makes no sense.

Okay fine, Wiseman and Green plus two firsts this year. Works, and they keep Wiggins.  That doesn't make the Warriors better?

Yeah, this is what I was thinking. Unless they want a younger, more athletic Draymond and they're going to send Draymond somewhere else. But I doubt it.

It also sounds like Simmons to the Warriors is dead in the water.

So why are the Sixers trading Simmons for lottery picks and a clearly inferior player in Wiggins? I seriously doubt Philly decides to trade Simmons for picks that might not become anything just as Embiid is entering his prime. Philly is in "contender" mode, not "add teenagers to try to develop into a franchise cornerstone in 2-3 years" mode. There would have to be a 3rd team involved that gets the GSW package while moving a top notch player to Philly.

like say Beal, but then I don't know why Golden State wouldn't just do that.

If I were the Warriors I don't think I'd trade Green straight up for Simmons...

That's a ridiculous comment.  This is your ultimate buy low moment.  Even if Ben never gets any better age alone is a reason to make the trade.  Let alone the crazy unrealized talent ben has.

I don't think there is a trade that really makes sense between GS and Philadelphia without some other team that wants draft picks and sends players to the Sixers.  I also think if the Warriors acquired Simmons, they'd need to send Green somewhere else.

I mean if Ben is not working on improving his game he will actually get worse cause everyone else. In that article with a lot of insider information from the Philly locker room it was pretty telling the staff basically said he hasn’t got better at anything since his rookie year. I know it is a different sports but can’t help but think of bellinger and yelich watching what is happening to Ben.

If Klay's healthy, GSW trading for Simmons is being heavily considered. Adding him gives them a team with elite speed, length, passing, ballhandling, and defense, if they bring in a 3 and D SF/SG to replace Wiggins.

Offensive spacing is important, but it's not the most important factor in winning, not when you have Curry/Thompson and a potential top 5 defense. The Warriors won 54% of their games without Klay while pairing Green, Wiseman, Looney, and Oubre all shooting sub 32% from 3. They'd have the versatility and depth to play at whichever pace they prefer on both ends, elite in transition and defensively in the half court.

Value-wise, a package of Wiggins, Wiseman, 1-2 2021 lottery 1sts is going to be tough to top in a bidding war. The trade would be contingent on a 3rd/4th team to flip Wiseman and the 1sts to because the Sixers are going all in on a Championship and those pieces are not ready.

Makes sense for the Warriors if they can move Draymond. Does not make sense for Philly though, they're still in win-now mode
