So San Antonio's lineup is looking like

G: Dejuante Murray, Lonnie Walker
G: Derrick White, Bryn Forbes
F: Doug McDermott
F: Thaddeus Young, Al Farouq Aminu
C: Jakob Poeltl, Zach Collins

That is not a good team.

Looks like the got enough talent to take them out of the mix for a top 5 draft pick. So not even tanking correctly. Trying to win and failing.

The Spurs won't be tanking until RC Buford fires Pop and installs himself as head coach midseason.
I'm bitter.

Magic started FA with two centers in Wendell Carter Jr and Mo Bamba. Two young players with some talent. Then went out and added two more centers in Robin Lopez and Mo Wagner. Why?

I hate Orlando.

Could this be why Kanter was signed:

I’m told the #Celtics are prepared to offer the Washington #Wizards a package of Marcus Smart, Robert Williams, Aaron Nesmith and 3 first round picks for Bradley Beal.

Dam, that's a lot, would like to hold either Aaron on RWill....

I don't think the money works on that. The Celtics are 13 million short.

Combine it into the TT deal and you get closer

Torturing me.  I am assuming there is nothing to this.

Eh, I think that's comfortably a bottom 5 team.  Who scores on that roster?  It's a collection of decent roleplayers who would all rather somebody else shoulder the burden on offense.  Well, and Dougie McBuckets.  But I doubt they're going to win many games letting him launch 20 shots a night.

Felger and Mazz saying Beal might be going to the Nets? They read some tweets from Wizards reporters saying Beal requested a trade and the Nets are a possibility.

It depends on how much stock you put in Twitter emojis and random “freelance reporters” that nobody has heard of.

Felger knows less about the NBA than a literal ham.

Not sure how you got this but $34.5M / 1.25 = $27.6M  This is approximately the amount that the Celtics must send out I believe.  Smart ($13.8), Nesmith ($3.6M) and Williams ($3.6M) totals $21.0M, so actually about $8.0M short by my count.  They would have to include Thompson.  Does the 125% rule not apply for some reason?  (there is always one more wrinkle to the cap rules than I understand).

This doesn't seem all that real at this point but I can see possibilities if SAC, ATL, WAS, and BOS work together on this.

Hearing the S&T that would land Spencer Dinwiddie in Washington, from Brooklyn, could happen as soon as today/tomorrow. It’s expected to be a multi-team trade, possibly expanding across 6-8 different franchises (thus the reason things are taking so long)

Chicago & Oklahoma City are two names that I’ve heard connected to trade. BKN most recently requested Deni Avdija + future 1st/2nd round picks from WAS — WAS rebuffed the offer. Hearing Dinwiddie WILL be a Wizard, the avenue is just complicated.

Something is brewing in Washington

Replace Tomelord by Horford and bring in Kuzma and it would work. But Pritchard, Dunn, Madar would be the worst PG trio in the league probably. Would have to sign a PG. Schroder wouldn't go for MLE I guess. Everyone will say crap but I would take a shot. With a strong 4 ELITE F/W like Beal/Brown/Tatum I think Ntilikina could have a Batum's role at G. He is still young, is very bad to put the ball in the basket but is a real rôle player, young, who could find confidence in a good organisation with a definite role.

Ntilikina?/Pritchard/Dunn
Beal//Langford/Green?
Brown/ Richardson/Hauser
Tatum/Kuzma/Parker
Timelord/Kanter/Grant

I know Washington wouldn't do that but a man can dream, as we probably have to be in a hard reality for at least one year.

If Beal goes to Brooklyn it will be tough to continue being an avid NBA fan
