Sixers sign Drummond for the vet minimum.  Also sign Georges Niang 2yr/6.7M.

Surprised Drummond couldn't get more than vet minimum.  Really surprised he's going to the Sixers.  Weird fit with Embiid and Simmons on court and then there's the history between Embiid and Drummond.  He will be a nice fill in when Embiid misses games.

That is a low key sneaky good signing for Philly.

Niang has shot 40% plus from three for 3 straight years and takes a large number. About one attempt every 4 minutes. He is a legit shooter.

Exactly the type of support player they need next to Embiid (and if he stays Ben Simmons).

Niang would've been great for the C's bench. Far better than any of our backup PFs - Grant Williams or Jabari Parker.
Niang also a local MA guy (from Lawrence)!

Think the one that makes the most sense in Millsap to fill in the 4 spot but not sure if he’s be willing to play for the vet minimum.

Millsap would be my pick from that list.  think he'd at least merit the MLE which they've said they won't pay this year which is BS.   have to see what, if anything at this point, comes from the TT trade to know if we're getting more than Dunn (and if he's kept) to know if we still need a PG.  if we don't have Dunn, Schroder would be a good pick up.

I'd love Millsap as a backup PF. That would be fantastic. Someone solid we can depend on for 15-20mpg. Reinforce the bench.

Gosh, I'd love to see us have a real bench after last season's debacle. If we go through that again, I will be going nuts all season long.

PBS should give Millsap that one year MLE money. My guess is someone else will offer him a multi-year deal though. And if he goes for a vet min instead, it'll be for a title contender. Not a slightly above average ball club.

I don't put much stock in the BOS won't pay MLE stuff. I believe they are talking more about a multi-year MLE but where not clear enough in communicating that message. I do not believe the door is closed on a one year MLE type deal.

Millsap almost came over last season right? But decided he didn’t want to uproot his family and just stayed put in Denver. So the interest is there i suppose. On another note, is that Mo Wagner? Orlando just drafted his brother right? Maybe they’ll end up keeping him.

I'd like JJ Redick as 3rd string SG. He a bad year last season but I believe he can have a comeback year. Not convinced by shooters suddenly forgetting how to shoot.

Redick would be a great locker room guy as well. A pro's pro who will set a good example to all the younger guys on the team on how to prepare in order to succeed in the NBA.

Good fallback option should Romeo fail to make the grade as a rotation player next season (due to his terrible shooting). We need a good 3rd string SG. It is important precisely because Romeo is so undependable.

Melo to the Lakers:

https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/31951269/los-angeles-lakers-carmelo-anthony-agree-one-year-contract

So after all these years he finally joins Lebron. The Lakers are basically Lebron, AD and a bunch of ring chaser add-ons

OKC bought out Kemba. He’s expected to go to the Knicks. I wonder how much that buy out was??

Happy for Kemba.  He deserves to play for a good team.  Just curious how Thibs will deal with him defensively.

Woj bomb: Kemba Walker to the Knicks:

NY is building quite a team. Kemba/Drose seems a bit shaky but they still do have Quickley. Happy for Kemba, at least he’s going home to NY.

John Collins just signed with the Hawks. So much for dreaming of getting him in the TT trade. So with that out of the way, I hope the final details of the TT deal is announced soon.
