Yikes  :-X

Adrian Wojnarowski: Keldon Johnson and JaVale McGee will replace Bradley Beal and Kevin Love on Team USA’s roster for the Olympics, sources tell ESPN. McGee will travel to Las Vegas to join team on Saturday.

Wow.  Bottom of the barrel, scraped.

Anybody remember the time we almost signed Maggie, but his agent wouldn’t agree to a second year? Who knew we were passing on a future Olympian?

Those two replacing Beal and Love is an absolute embarrassment. It’s just sad.

It should've been TIMELORD and Smart.

I agree. Except I would worry about Timelord getting injured the whole time, Lol..

Maybe so but with hitting the ball once it touches the rim rule he'd go totally wild and Smart would bring some toughness.

Keldon Johnson makes sense given the Spurs connection (and he balled out last season), but Javale McGee??

Fair enough, but that was a while ago! I guess there was a need for some rim-running length

McGee actually does have size that team USA probably needs. Interesting.

It sounds like Trae young wanted to be selected. Assuming that’s true, I don’t know what team USA was thinking. They need to cultivate stars both for now and the future.

I would think that if a PG needed replacement, he'd be a possibility... Keldon Johnson was already training with team as it was, so I think that was a consideration.

Not sure what the thought process was for McGee vs others in the Select team.

I'll say though, the roster itself seems very limited in PG depth... so it wouldn't have been a bad idea looking for a PG replacement for Beal.

I genuinely believe Trae would suffer immensely without the nonsense fouls he generates in the NBA. He's become very reliant upon that, and he plays no defence.

However, his playmaking would have helped a lot
