I wouldn't count on Brady being over that cliff just yet. No preseason. No shared practices with other teams. A whole lot of new talent coming together with a revamped playbook. Playing a very good veteran team that have been together a while.

Brady and the Bucs could be rolling by week 3 or 4. But after one game, given everything else I mentioned, I think it might be a wee bit early to write off Brady.

Sure, but he is 43 years old, he's going to decline some point soon, and he showed signs of it last season.

Writing off anyone from week 1 in a season where there's been no preseason and so much turmoil outside of football would be dumb.

Nobody is going to say Joe Burrow is a bust because he played poorly, just like nobody should argue Brady is cooked - yet. Need a much bigger sample size. Additionally, the Saints have had a good core that's been together for a long time
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

Couple of thoughts on week 1:

Glad to see the Cowboys still suck. Not even McCarthy can save that lot of perennial under-achievers.

Those new Rams uniforms are trash and something you'd be more likely to see at a youth football game.

Washington should just stick with having no team moniker. Washington 'Football Team' is unique enough.

Sam Darnold...lol...you suck. Jets gonna Jets.

I'm cautiously optimistic about the Giants chances tonight against the Steelers. Joe Judge has brought a little bit of an old school mentality back to Big Blue. He reminds me of a less crotchety, much younger, Tom Coughlin. I also have high hopes for Danny Dimes in his 2nd season.

How horrible did the Vikings look? From start to finish, their defense could not do a single thing and it seems their Head Coach never makes adjustments. They never had a four and out on Defense. They had the worst defensive performance of the day and supposedly their HC is a defensive specialist. They should have never extended him.

Brady pick sixed in the 3rd quarter

That was his third straight game throwing a pick 6.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Matt Shaub has the record with 4 straight games.

I found it funny that the Bucs got rid of Jameis Winston basically because of his turnover issue. Then Brady throws two interceptions, including a pick 6, in his first game.

Brady getting a lot of blame today and a lot of doubt.. Personally I think it's all absurd.

Guy was playing from third and long the entire game due to endless penalties. He was also playing against a super bowl favorite.. Not like he lost to Jacksonville (cough Phillip Rivers)

He's on a new team and had no pre-season. I have no doubt in my mind the Bucs will be in a much better place by week 4.

How many Brady led Pats teams were ruled all but dead after a week 1 bad loss?

here are a few just off the top of my head
2014 - week 1 loss to the dolphins
2017 - week 1 loss to the chiefs

HOW ABOUT WASHINGTON, LOL................

Chase Young, BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1st home opener WIN since 2014

Man do I love beating the eagles.  I hate them more than Dallas.

The Dline looks legit,  I’m a little worried about Haskins but his 2nd half made me feel a bit better.   It’d just be nice to see them Open things up a bit and use McLaurin

And as of RIGHT NOW - we are in FIRST PLACE in the Division, LOL!! DAL and PHI lost, and NYG plays PIT tonight.

Baby steps.

He's not the same anymore.  He was horrible in last year's loss to the Dolphins ... floating ducks all over the field, and it continued yesterday.  This will not end well for Terrific Tom.

Saw they won yesterday after trailing and was in complete disbelief.  last few years they wouldn't have come back to win.  hoping this team in turning the corner finally.  now if we can only get rid of Snyder to make sure he doesn't do anything stupid to torpedo the team again.

lol wishful thinking, about Snyder.

I'll give him THIS, though - he seems to be making the right steps lately....from bringing in Rivera and the coaching staff to bringing in the Black president AND cleaning up the sexual harassment within the organization.

Baby steps.

But beating PHI yesterday was HUGE....make no mistake about it.

A Divisional opponent....breaking their SIX game winning streak against us AND winning our FIRST home opener since 2014.

I'm not booking Superbowl Tickets (yet) but the future looks bright. That is all we can hope for.
