I think this is at least a round too early. I think there are at least 3 PGs that are arguably better.

I disagree. I thought he or another PG I can't name should've been Yoki's pick at the start of the third round.

I disagree. In terms of stats, he has some arguments of being the best point guard ever. Of course, you can disagree he's that all time great, but in the bottom of the 3rd round, I feel this is a good pick.

Not saying any pick is bad. I just think it's too early and there were better PGs available. But in this draft, there is no bad pick, it's just what you prefer.

EDIT: I am also not someone who is married to stats, as in this game, stats vary wildly across rule changes and eras. Player impact within the era they played means more to me.

His peak was comparable to Kobe's...I think it's a decent pick, especially when you factor in the lack of resilient offense on my squad. TMac was one of the few players who upped their production in the playoffs.

But never lifted his team out of the first round, which is a knock.  For a third pick, though, he should be stellar.

I don't know...when we played this Hist. Draft back in 2011 I'd say this pick was early - along with the Kawhi pick.

Now? Posters here are obviously (to me, at least) trying to tailor their picks to TODAY'S NBA...can't blame them for that.

Fit is important.

For me - beyond the flashy games and egos can players fit together? Can they take a step back and let others shine?

I'd guess that an early 2000's KG would've LOVED to have had Steph Curry and T-Mac. Dude may have gotten past the Lakers back then - or at least took them to 7 games.
