To OKC
Hayward, Yabu, Williams3, Richaun Holmes, Boston 2nd
(Adams, Schroeder, Ferguson, #21)

OKC reloads, adds Hayward to be another facilitator in the starting lineup and some young depth. Saves enouhg to pull them 6 mill in payroll. MLE on a depth center

Westbrook
Hayward
Grant
George
Noel/MLE/Williams

To Phoenix
Schroeder, Pick 21 and pick 22
(Warren and #6)

Phoenix moves their most expensive SF leaving Bridges and Jackson to man that position and adds their highest postion of need with Schroeder. who fits their young group and who is strong enough to cover booker defensively.

Schroeder
Booker
Bridges
draft/fa
Ayton

To NOP
6 + 20 + 51
(#4)

NOP moves down 2 places but gains an additional first rounder at #20 and a second rounder at #51

Boston trades
Hayward, Yabu, Williams3, 14, 22, 51
gets
#4, Adams, Warren, Ferguson

Boston restructures out of Haywards Fat contract, gets youner and gets Garland

garland/Smart
Brown/Ferguson
tatum/warren
??????
Adams/Baynes

Have pick 20, and north of 30 mill in capspace to add power forwards.

That is a lot of work you put into this but I am very confused and can't follow it. TP

OKC says no, New Orleans says no, Phoenix says no. But besides that, seems totally fine.

well give me why's

Otherwise it just looks like you underrate your own team.

OKC Sheds some salary and adds a great piece between George and Westbrook in Hayward.

NOP drop 2 places but gain another pick

Phoenix gets a vet PG for the 6th pick....which is what they have been offering.

I don’t think OKC is looking to pay that much next year, and would prefer to deal Adams and Schroder with way less money coming back.

The 20th and 51st picks are not nearly valuable enough to move back two spots. NO would be better off trading it elsewhere.

Phoenix is getting absolutely wrecked in this deal. Schroder was salary dumped last year by Atlanta and is now somehow worth the 6th pick in the draft?

OKC want cap relief, not a guy who earns more than Adams does now and would be somewhat redundant given the crazy usage of PG and Westbrook. They say no.

I don't know why Phoenix would value Schroder, when they could just draft Garland or Coby White instead at the pick position they already have. I don't even know what you're talking about when you say Schroder can cover Booker defensively - he's a bad defender.

Not sure why New Orleans would do this. From all accounts all they want to do is move up, not down.

Boston gets away like absolute bandits

Why wouldn’t OKC just trade Schroeder to Phoenix for 6 and get under the tax that way?

Because Phoenix wouldn’t do that, which is incidentally a major issue in this idea.

If PHX trades a chance to finally draft a good PG (Garland or White) for a backup PG who thinks he is a superstar James Jones would be fired and Never have a job in the NBA, unless Lebron buys a team in the future

I'm always mystified by these trade ideas that ship out all of our scraps for quality pieces.

Hayward has no positive value.  That could change next year, but as of right now, he hasn't shown enough to be worth $32M per year.  Yabu has no value.  Williams is a sweetener - a nice project but hardly a coveted asset.  All of our picks are mediocre except possibly the MEM pick, which you didn't include.

You have to give value to get value.  If you want that #4, we're probably talking about Brown.  MAYBE something like Smart + MEM + #14 or #20 interests the Pelicans too, but the point is that it's going to hurt to acquire that.  OKC might be interested in moving Adams for cap relief, but Hayward isn't cap relief.

Why the hell does Phoenix do this?  They give up Warren - a solid offensive player on a fair deal, not even close to the albatross you're treating him as - AND the #6?  For what, exactly?

Sorry.  I applaud the effort, but this just doesn't work IMO.

Pretty sure New Orleans is looking to move the #4 for a player, not three lesser picks in the same draft. It was reported they preferred LA turn the #4 pick into an All-Star level player but took the #4 pick when nothing materialized.

Also, OKC is looking to dump a major salary piece. They want to dump $15-25 million a year in salary so they do not have a $50 million or more tax bill again. This trade dumps just a couple million and land them a $30 million a year contract they won't be able to dump. OKC is going to completely dump either Adams or Schroder, not trade them to get back even more extremely difficult to move players.

Your overall rebuttal still stands, but lol.
