I guess his fractured finger didn’t hold him back much.

28 points, 7 assists, 4 3PTs in a loss to the Cavs.

Scary Terry had the best game of his career.  42 points, 10 threes made.

Ainge says he focused on trying to bring Hayward back. Didnt work.

Sometimes fit matters too.maybe tatum and brown play better (for whatever unknown reason) without Hayward , and vice versa for Hayward

Ex-Celtics only think keeping the Hornets in games against bottom-feeders while golden boy LaMelo drops a huge dud.

Love to see it!

Against the defenseless Cavs and they lost.

What are the odds that Hayward signed as a free agent with a second team that opened the season in Cleveland.  This time with much better result for him.

Too bad this time Cleveland didn't have LeBron and James Crowder on that team. Gordy must've seen some ghosts playing his opening night in Cleveland again. But it did seem like he exorcised some demons.

Or maybe basketball is played with only one ball and it's very hard to have four 20 point scorers on the same team.

on celtics he would have missed 50 games with his finger .

then it would have been something else the next game.  he was absolutely jinxed to the max in boston.

Gordon did have a pretty good season last year with the celtics at 17.5 PPG

he was just redundant with brown/Tatum. Theres only so many shots that can go around. When he signed, Isaiah Thomas was out top scorer, Brown barely had seen the floor and Tatum was just drafted.

Once those two broke out and he got injured it was a totally different situation than the one he signed up for

Nobody said Hayward wasn't good; we'll have to see how his body holds up. Impressive performance, though. And Rozier...wow!

Hope Gordo enjoys money and stat padding over re-building an NBA legacy because he ain’t sniffing anything playoffs relayed with that mess in Charlotte.

I’m not sure if he was redundant.  When we had all 3 in the lineup we were quite formidable.  He is also the best passer out of the group (as of now at least).  I might take a healthy Hayward over a healthy Walker.

He went for the money though.  If winning mattered more to him he wouldn’t have gone there.

Sounding a touch salty

Eh. A bit blunt, but accurate. He certainly didn't go to Charlotte for a chance at a ring. I mean, he and Terry combined for 70 and still lost to Cleveland without Love. They're going to lose a ton of games, but he secured the bag and gets to take more shots per game. That's what he wanted and that's his prerogative as a player.
