apparently NY is looking to do a deal with chicago for thomas. http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/64808/20100217/bulls_knicks_talking_tyrus_for_al/
what a coincidence! i want to do a trade with chicago also.

bulls get big expiring and get their long sought impact 4

ny gets thomas and expirings gets rid of nate.

we get a solid defender at combo guard, an athletic scorer/ defender at swing forward  and a microwave.

edit: trade machine loads so [dang] slow. here's the breakdown
chi gets harrington and allen (both expiring, both can help this year)
ny gets thomas, house and t. allen (all three expiring, walsh likes thomas a lot)
bos gets nate, hinrich and deng

dont ask me how the salary's match up but they do. chi and boston take on +- $23 mil, ny only $10mil. but the machine says it works.

Interesting, but in essence, all Chicago gets back is expirings.  Not enough to include Deng.

Also, NY is desperate to rid themselves of Jeffries' contract too, so it probably doesn't work for them either.

At first glance it looked fantastic though.

To Boston: Kevin Martin, Kenny Thomas, and Ime Udoka
To Sacramento: Nate Robinson and Ray Allen
To New York: Eddie House, JR Giddens, and Brian Cardinal
To Minnesota: Darko Milicic

Not sure Sacramento would trade Martin without giving up that awful contract in Nocioni, but if they did :)

Chicago gets two HUGE expiring, and a great running mate for noah in the frontcourt and rose in the back. which gives em a shot at the playoffs this year and secures their FA future.
