Although it looks like Miami is the front-runner.  Shouldn't Danny at least be trying to swing something?  Do you guys think we have any chance?  Probably not...

Its no brainer. You have to try at least. If Ainge gets rejection, you move on. Celtics do have the pieces to swing a trade.

  • Rondo = Good
Ray + Perk + future 1st for Amare + J Rich + Hill

That's the only thing I can think of that would work.  But Miami can offer better.

I feel like a KG + Amare frontcourt would be kinda dubious anyway.

There was a report on realgm that Miami didn't even offer Beasley, so this deal would likely beat theirs. The only problem is they already have Robin Lopez who is very similar to Perk, but moreathletic and bigger.

Robin Lopez is not better than Perk.  The only problem I see with trading them Perk is he doesn't fit in an up-tempo system.

Isnt Amare an expiring? I dont think that he would resign here. Seems as if he likes warm weather cities; hence him prefering miami over cleveland

Maybe not,but for their system he is , he can get up and down the court better and finish alley oops.  Plus he is on a rookie contract for the next few years, while Perk will be up for an extension next year.

We would have to send Perk to a 3rd team

I believe he can opt out for next year. Even if he doesn't resign with us, we still have JRich who expires next year as a great RA replacement on his own, plus we get Amare as an infusion of energy/talent for a title run this year.

  • No contaban con mi astucia !!!
ok heres the thing
this is all related so I will post it here
I am NOT a nate fan, I think hes better than house tough
individually i dont know yet if hes better for this team
and whoever to claim he is really dont know what they are
talking about. The trade for Nate is an looking for energy
anb scoring of the bench trade, and as usual with danny a trade
to raise the talent level
Hes not a natural pg but i will put it behind rondo
for obvious reasons

o.k.

then we have

Rondo  and Nate
Ray    and Tony for defensive purposes
Pierce and Daniels
KG     and Sheed
Perk   and ???? No one

Yup noone I for a second with the missing og KGs legs think on putting Sheed alone he hadnt do a lot for himself so I decided to leave the mediocrity there and say yes
After thinking We havev the best frontcourt on the game now I think we have one of the slowest less athletical frountcourt ever.

A trade that brings amaree certanly help, I really could think on offering Sheed or KG over Perk...really, yes i said that.

In other news, noone ever read my posts so ...well ...heres another one for the lost book of my desires and  thought  :'(

Sheed and KG have no trade value at this point.  Perk is our only tradeable asset other than Ray that Danny will consider trading.  We'd need to throw in Perk (a young, bargain-paid player) along with Ray in order to get a guy like Iggy or Amare.
