I should've added realistic to objective!

Now I am drooling all over my keyboard. I usually have to buy a new one every time I think about LBJ in green.

Beat me too it.

Why would you ever want this guy on the celtics? He's a self centered, prima donna. Every winning celtics team has been about character, toughness, and discipline. LeBron has none of that (well maybe discipline)

If he were ever to put on a Boston uniform, i'd puke uncontrollably.

Everything I observe about the guy is that his teammates love playing with him and he visibly makes them better. It is real and tangible. Look at this roster:

1 Daniel Gibson PG 23 6-2 200 Texas $4,088,500
14 Daniel Green G 22 6-6 210 North Carolina $457,588
21 J.J. Hickson PF 21 6-9 242 North Carolina State $1,429,200
11 Zydrunas Ilgauskas C 34 7-3 260   $11,541,074
9 Cedric Jackson G 23 6-3 190 Cleveland State $53,834
0 Darnell Jackson PF 24 6-9 253 Kansas $736,420
23 LeBron James SF 25 6-8 250   $15,779,912
15 Jamario Moon SF 29 6-8 200   $3,000,000
33 Shaquille O'Neal C 37 7-1 325 LSU $21,000,000
18 Anthony Parker SG 34 6-6 215 Bradley $2,644,231
44 Leon Powe PF 26 6-8 240 California $855,189
17 Anderson Varejao PF 27 6-11 260   $6,363,636
13 Delonte West SG 26 6-3 180 Saint Joseph's $4,254,250
31 Jawad Williams F 26 6-9 218 North Carolina $736,420
2 Mo Williams PG 27 6-1 190 Alabama $8,860,000

He wins 60 plus games a year with role players and one decent scoring pg. Self centered, what athlete isn't? Prima donna? ditto.

You have alot of hate for the guy. I hate him because he is on another team and I don't like his teammates either. They are all annoying. Doesnt mean I would "puke" uncontrollably if he played for my own team. Come on man. If you really feel that way its unreasonable.

You would have to be delusional not to want this guy on your team.

If I had my way, he would go to the Clippers, both because it's close enough to the Lakers for me to channel my hate effectively, and bad enough of a team that it will not go anywhere. Win-win. Plus, it'll give the Clippers a chance to talk crap about the Lakers.

The guy has a clear personality defect. If he changes it then i am all for having him play for my team.

And Pierce is an arrogant whiney, flopper/actor, who fakes injuries, but we still love him.

He'd be our self-centered, prima donna. Frankly, having his numbers on the Celtics and being a perennial contender would be fine by me.

Every athlete has a personality defect. All that matters is if his teamates will respond to him and they do.

MJ had probably the most defective personailty in the history of sports. Look where it got him.

Im clearly not going to change your mind but it's too bad that you have so much distaste for such a great basketball player. You really do miss out when you only focus on the negatives.

no. pierce is no where nearly as annoying, whiny, and arrogant as LeBron.

Only because he wears a Celtic Jersey.

  • TRANSFORMATION INTO CHAMPION COMPLETE!!!
There is a big part of me that wants to see him and Wade play together, that would be can't miss basketball every night. It would really suck when they play the C's though.

nope. Pierce has been a HUGE role model for me over the years. He stuck with the team when they were bad and i even was lucky enough to meet him once. he couldnt be a nicer guy. He showed what a difference a year can make. Saying that i only like pierce because he is a celtic was an idiotic statement.

saying that i only like the celtics because of pierce would be more accurate. He is after all what drew me to watching the celtics. I could never say that for lebron because he is just such a lame character.
