Think about it: Lonzo, Jrue, Ingram, Zion and Hayes is the worst shooting lineup in the league. I think They're gonna have huge problem with spacing

I guess when you have Alexander-Walker off the bench and a million picks to come you can afford to be patient. That lineup projects to be one of the best defensive 5-man units in the league in 2 years, if it sticks together.
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

I think this is a very promising lineup, depending on coaching style and barring injuries.
Someone should try to keep Lavar out of NO though.
Disappointment is anger for wimps.

ESPN banned him from their platforms, which is at least a start. Less publicity for him the better

That will be a team that excels in fastbreak-style basketball. A bit like Oklahoma City, but maybe more extreme.
I think it will be fun to watch.

NOP has made some excellent moves and I can’t wait to watch them play. I’m hoping they ship out Lonzo and run a starting 5 of Holiday, NAW, Ingram, Zion, Hayes.

This is going to be my second favorite team for the next few years and beyond.

A few bad years and more lucky lottery picks, perhaps a big LA injury and they will be in one of the best situations in the NBA soon enough. It will dwarf the tank job by the Sixers and will make our Nets set up with two top 3 picks seem ordinary in contrast.

I really think they got too clever when they traded the 4th pick. Garland is a very good shooter, and PG.  They could have taken their time working him in, but he projects to be an all star level talent. NAW and Hayes do not.  Trade Ball for assets.  Or if Ball excels, play him together with Garland, and trade Holiday.

NOP have cap money to bring in a shooter. Reddick perhaps? But only if they think they can compete for a playoff spot

I don't think they're too worried about shooting and fit. They are not committed long term to any pieces other than Zion/Hayes.

Pelicans are also committed to Holiday.

agree. the pels are not thinking "we are done dealing." they have a huge treasure chest of assets to move for players they need. this is the start of a rebuild for that team. they will acquire players to fill specific needs.

they did a very good job of acquiring players and pics for someone who was leaving them no matter what.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

I think they're thinking this team will be a lot of fun to watch and tinker with over the next few years.

They have just started rebuilding. There will be more moving blocks in the future.
