Nope, no hidden meaning here.  Since we're heading deeper and deeper into off topic scraps of threads anyhow...

Which is the better fruit?

I'm going to go with apple simply because of the variety of apples out there.  Though I'd much prefer a cold glass of fresh squeezed orange juice over apple juice any day.

Discuss...
Yup

Pears.

Please Roy, let's not jump the gun. I'm planning a riveting series of polls involving various fruits.  Maybe even a bracket of fruits going head to head withthe ultimate fruits facing off in the Fruit Bowl.
Yup

Fair enough.  Now, does "Orange" include only the actual fruit, or things with orange flavoring?  Like, say, orange skittles?  Because, I like orange skittles a lot.

I guess these two fruits should have had higher "seeds" if I was planning a full bracket  ::)

I don't eat fruit.

Can I choose Oranges since I drink OJ over AJ?

Okay, here's my reasoning:  without there being oranges in the first place, there would be no orange skittles.  Thus, oranges win out...

Dang!  But there's apple pie, too.  And apple strudel...  I'm so conflicted right now.  Truly, one of life's mysteries.

Since I'm an American-loving patriot, I guess the vote goes to apples.  Only a communist hates apple pie.

Hey!

Some of us just prefer to have cake, and eat it to.

Good to see that the pro-America vote is winning by a 2:1 margin.

You all can be as patriotic as you want when you have SCURVY!

Sign me up for oranges and their delectable vitamin C content.

I have to vote for oranges because I can never get tired of eating oranges (or just chewing on them and drinking/seething the juices).

Apples, I can get tired of eating.....

Dark_lord is 100% right on that! If it wasn't for caramel dip I don't think I'd eat an apple.

As far as oranges go, I LOVE them if they are good, but only if I get my wife to peel them for me. Peeling in orange is a huge phobia of mine. Can't stand the peel under my nails. Even if you start it with a knife you still get some... Usually I have to pass.
