Another botched call on whether or not the ball was across,  ::).

I still haven't seen an angle where it was clear beyond a shadow of a doubt whether that ball was 100% across the goal line or not.

I thought the Ukrainians played better throughout the match, but they couldn't finish, and they had one horrifically ugly botch by their keeper.  That was the difference.

This tournament is starting to bum me out.  I hate that it's all the super powers through to the next round.  Go Czechs, I guess.
DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

I haven't seen an angle where it wasn't clearly over, with the exception of the straight on shot where you have no depth perception.

Makes it hard to get into the sport when awful officiating on whether or not a goal pops up so often. The impact the officials have on soccer can be greater than in basketball given how rare scores are.

Nice run and cross by Moutinho. Very good header by Ronaldo for the goal too.

Nice to see Ronaldo have a bit of success. He gets an awful lot of stick. Unfairly so.

What`s unbelieavable is that his hair didn`t move an inch despite the header !! :D He had scored 2 goals in the last 3 major tournaments and so far he has already 3 (and 4 !!! on posts)

But i agree .. CR scored 60 goals in 55 games last season. I`m not getting into comparisons with Messi but the fact by itself is amazing. And he`s been scoring at a similar rate the last 3-4 years (at least).

Happy to see Germany go through. So they'll play the winner of England-Italy and Portugal will play the winner between France and Spain.

I'd like to see England beat Italy but lose to Germany. Neutral on France-Spain but I'd like to see the winner of that tie beat Portugal and make the Finals.

France have been pretty terrible. A disappointment.

It`s amazing that although Spain has lost a step and plays without striker can still dominate in major competitions.  really hope we`ll see a clash between Germany and Spain in the final

A few useless facts

1)Germany has never lost a quarterfinal !!!
2)This was the first spanish vecorty over France in any major tournament!
3)France (till this euro) had never won a game in this competition without Platini or Zidane in the lineup
4)well this is not a fact ...
2004 winner Greece 4-5 years later is almost bankrupt
2008 winner Spain 4 yeas later is about to ask for IMF`s help

who`s next ??

Espn play-by-play commentators are unbashful homers.

I hope this doesn't go to penalties. I hate penalty shootouts.

I think Italy deserve to win this game. Like to see them find a goal here.
