idk how anyone beats LA, but I agree Miami is the fav in the East

Miami better than Boston and Chicago? Id like to hear your reasoning.

I like Chicago but I think Miami beats them due to experience.

Until we can protect the rim, which I haven't seen in a single game since the trade...I don't see how we prevent Wade and Bron from attacking the hoop.

The odds are just based on how much money has already been bet.  What happened over the summer was all the money went on MIA.  Now that the majority of bets were placed, it will be difficult for any team to pass MIA in money/odds.

The current odds don't reflect the actual current sentiment about who should be the favorites.

i don't see how a team that can't win a game decided by 5 points or less can win a title. analysts always hate on us so i'd expect sa or la to be number 1...

Become Legendary.

Have you been watching Miami play lately. They can't beat a good team in the regular season there is no way they are going anywhere in the playoffs!

There's no way to stop Miami when they go all iso on you??  That's what makes them 1-9 against the elite teams and why they struggle so much at the end of close games.  They are very predictable. They attack the rim, they are not good outside shooters, and they don't pass the ball(29th in the NBA in assists and would be worse, but the Bucks can't shoot a lick).

Yes, and we have been unable to stop Brandon Jennings and Monta Ellis from getting to the hoop whenever they want...why will be be able to stop Wade n LBJ?

Well I do agree that if we dont get Shaq back, we probably dont get out of the East. I think hes coming back though and he will certainly protect the paint more than Krstic.

this is good, lets judge a team freshly off a roster overhaul with still a ton of injuries. i'm not saying the c's are a lock to win #18, but let's not use the last five games as an indicator of what we will look like in the playoffs. short attention spans need instant gratification, trades and team chemistry don't work that way.

Number 1 and 2 on that list are also number 1 and 2 on the list for worst contenders against top teams.

Someone explain?
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale
