If a 50% Hayward plays Ojeleye minutes, then he'll be a less efficient Ojeleye. Ojeleye isn't the reason we are losing, Tatum/Brown/Smart/Walker are, they are the ones need to get us out of the hole.

Ojeleye has 2 points, 1 rebound and 1 assist in 19 minutes. Hayward will take those 10MPG and probably 5MPG from our big 3

Hayward isn't going to save us. He hasn't played basketball for more than a month. The first 3 games he play will be very rusty, he might be back to 80% after 3-4 games, but there's no throw away games to let him warm up, we must win the next 4 games straight, or 4 of the next 5.

I don't think a "less efficient Ojeleye" can play the way Hayward played tonight.

Imagine Ojeleye making that pocket bounce pass to Theis, lol

Celtics has 4 players with at least 20 points, 7 players with at least 4 rebounds, and 4 players with at least 4 assists. That's great teamwork and that's really because of Hayward's return, as it allowed the other bench players(Kanter, Wanamaker, Grant) to play their specific roles.

I'm actually wondering though. I'm not a medical doctor, but I thought Grade 3 ankle sprains were a full tear and usually keeps people out for several months. Yet De'Aron Fox suffered a Grade 3 sprain and only missed like 4-5 weeks. Same with Hayward, who returned in about 5 weeks. So did they actually suffer a Grade 2 sprain or something? How were they able to return in only a little over a month ???

I'm guessing 4 is on the lower end of the scale, for a well conditioned athlete. If it was you or me we're probably out for several months (or I don't know about you but definitely me  it took me 6mths to get back from a meniscus tear   )

I've always felt that Gordon could score 0 points and still make the team better because he has a multiplicative effect on everyone he plays with. Obviously his $35m salary gets in the way of determining what his output "should" be, but he's the type of player who makes the right play more often than not, he finds guys, like Theis for the bounce pass, Jaylen with that outlet pass, then Kemba for the 3 late in the 4th with the shot clock down to 3 secs. To keep composure and find the open guy cross court is pretty remarkable. He's got a calming influence on the team as well. I think right now he's probably around 60-70% in terms of his sharpness, his conditioning is better than I thought but when he's close to 100% we're going to be a pretty solid team.

Fantastic news that the plan is for Hayward to stick around. I'm really impressed with him for this decision - it couldn't have been easy. His presence will make all the difference in the world. Glad he got 31 minutes tonight and now he has three days off to get fully integrated. The Heat can't be happy with this.

It was foolish for people to say Cs didn’t miss Stash Gordon. He had a big impact tonight for the Cs.
