Too bad the refs weren't fined for not calling a flagrant for sliding a foot under Tatum on his shot landing. Kawai Leonard says "Hi" Golden State!

What do you think of the post-Ime Grant Williams and his aggressive complaining?  He clearly held it in check somewhat last year but seems among the league leaders in whining after foul calls (or missed calls).   I’m a little surprised by the intensity and the consistency of his reactions.

So, again, I ask - what is with this compacted schedule ?
Seems like the Celts have only had a couple of 2-day breaks from games. It has been every other nite with a few back-to-backs. Finishing this trip on a B2B against the Lakers, no less, is ridiculous. I can't remember ever having the Lakers on a back end like that.

The team has to be worn out by now and I fear it will hurt us the next two nites. I have not studied the 2nd half of the schedule. Does it lighten up or is the league trying to shorten the season calendar that has gone later and later into the summer months for the finals.

I feel like there have been some ups and downs. He started the year really out of control, but then I thought there was a shift after Grant had the game where he ran into a player and knocked him over because he was complaining so much. He had a few games where he was mostly in check. Ball in the stands is definitely regression tho.

Grant just needs to put it together every game, not just here and there
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

Yeah, Grant has always been mouthy, but the Finals and this season took it to another level.  In the Finals, he said he was spending time researching trash talk to use against Draymond.  I think stuff like that ended up taking Grant out of his game a little.

so celtics have gotten whipped the last 2 games...and looked really poor offensively. I'm hoping this is just a 2 game slump and not a sign of things to come.

I think part of this slump is the players are letting the calls get to them. This game completely turned around after the blake tech. After that the team seemed to be rushing or complaining

I didn’t watch more than bits and pieces of the game last night, but did catch two really awful missed calls that lead directly to 5 points for the Clippers.  No excuse for a night of chucking bricks, but I can see how it would get frustrating.  These weren’t judgment calls, they were just plain old missed turnovers.
Yup

I gave up at the end of the first half and went to bed.  Just finished reading the thread for the rest of the game, I didn't miss much.  Tough loss with another tough game tonight.

The Celtics will take a 2-game losing streak into Tuesday night's game with the Lakers in LA.

Boston hasn't lost 3-straight since December, 2021.

The last time the Celtics went through a full calendar year without losing 3 in a row?

If we end up losing three in a row, I certainly don't want it to be against the Lakers.
