Bizarre, but I'll take it.  At least he's a vet.

I still hope we add a center.  Come on down, Derrick Favors.

Can't help but think adding Blake means no Favors.

Himmelsbach says it's a vet minimum deal.

Griffin is pretty much washed BUT I always remember how he definitely played tough against us in the Nets series last season especially in Game 3. Jaylen hit some nice buckets over him but it wasn't like Griffin was making it too easy either. He looked like the only one who cared on BKN during that series lol despite his limitations

I'm hoping that Griffin is the Gallo replacement.

Now we need the Timelord replacement.  Carmelo would seem to be out of the equation.

Woooohoooo. I wrote up and deleted a post a few weeks back wondering if Blake would be a good option when Gallinari went down. Played solid Ball for the Nets against us in the playoffs on both sides of the ball.

All for it, very happy with this signing. Welcome to Boston BG.

At this stage in his career, Blake is a Center. Per cleaningtheglass, he played 83% of his minutes at Center last season and only 17% at PF.

Not holding my breath about this move. His advanced stats from last season suggest he's cooked. Here's hoping he'll bounce back this season.

Good signing. Skilled big with size. More mobile on defense than given credit for. Better defender than given credit for [adequate rather than liability]. Well suited to BOS setup.

He's 33 yo!  Doesn't it feel like he's been around for ever already!

Hope it works, but I won't hold my breath.

He's decent as a rebounder and good as a passer.

Defensively he's not much, and he's lost a ton of athleticism.
