yesterday

Tatum and Jaylen combined to take just 7 shots in the entire second half. That's wild.

they both shoulda been driving or cutting or running PNR all half.

wrong people shooting. terrible coaching. just terrible at adjusting to what worked in past games

small miami made us look bad along with refs

Good ole Marcus smart. Sucks the life out of offensive possessions with his terrible shot selection

There were 2 things that Brown was not good at in his rookie year, dribbling and shooting FTs.
There are 2 things that Brown is not good at now..

That's a big problem if this is his 6th year with the Celtics. He can keep his heroic 40-point performances but if he can't do the simple stuff like dribbling and FTs...idk if it's worth having to put on that baggage.

Still fuming about those JB free throws. He went 7-9, so he literally made 7 in a row in non-clutch time, all to miss two in a row when it mattered most. Just brutal choke.

This was basically game 3 again. Down early. Get it close only to lose in the end.

here is what is very upsetting and disconcerting for me.

i feel like a broken record when it comes to our DUMB play

i have been saying this for as long as the jays have been here as well as marcus. just saying we as a ateam have not been consistently smart ever dating back to brad stevens whole tenure

Any Marcus smart slander will not be tolerated. Because everyone criticizing him was crying for him to be on the floor the games he has missed.

So just stop. It’s freaking pathetic.

but he deserves the criticism for his play tonight; he was abysmal on both ends of the floor.

the problem with this team is their ceiling is incredibly high but their floor hasn’t been raised and is still too low to be contenders. you can’t be in contention if your bad games are atrocious on a semi-regular basis. it’s a maturity issue that has plagued this team for years and it’s true of every starter, particularly jt, jb, and marcus.

Yeah, I think you're right that the floor is really the issue, not the ceiling. We just don't play smart, confident basketball all that consistently, and a lot of times when we get punched in the mouth in games we let it heavily affect us. I wonder how much of that is due to our two best players being so young.

i hope you’re right and it’s simply due to our youth. as this team has aged and gained more experience, one has to begin wondering if the “soft” label is the real issue. still too early to definitely determine but the concern is growing.

If we were soft, this team doesn't rebound from being .500 to taking out Durant and Giannis in route to the conference finals.

Why are so many people acting like the series is over?  We've been fantastic on the road.   We're going to win game 7 against this inferior Heat team.

It’s hard to beat a team like that three times in a row. We’ll bounce back and win game 7 on the road.

We might, but I can't see us getting past GSW now.

spolstra out-coached ime tonight. their game plan was to force someone other than jt and jb to beat them. jb was doubled as soon as he caught the ball and jb was doubled once he began to dribble. those complaining about marcus’ shot numbers, this is why. derrick stepped up but marcus, al, and grant did not.

ime attempted to counter in the second half by having jt play point-forward but jt’s penchant for dribbling out the clock before making a move played into the heat’s defensive strategy. getting into the motion offense more quickly and having guys like pp in the corner to beat the heat’s overplay on defense would have been the answer. ime needs to step up.

When you walk the ball up the court from the start it sets you up for failure---How DUMB can all these players be???
Someone should have been telling them to get into their offense early and not settle for crappy shots against a set defense.
OMG, it's like the NBA is rigged or something...with all this gambling money that Silver has allowed, I bet there's some truth to this.

Miami's entire goal for this series was to get it to a Game 7 and roll the dice. Well here we are...
