Lucas Oil Stadium’s 63,000 seats include some turkeys – seats with limited view, and in some cases views of the field that are all but completely obstructed.

Thanks to pillars located in each of the four corners, Colts officials say there are about 200 partially-obstructed seats at the new football stadium, and even fewer seats that are totally obstructed - which the team says won't be sold for games.

If they are not going to sell the seat, why put the seat in there?

This is quite pathetic in this day and age.

Very true, why not sell beer or put tv screens there for replays or for the people with "partially obstructed view" seats, putting seats there is admitting you messed up.

Those are the best seats in the house if you ask me.  Never know when Marvin Harrison will get his hands on another firearm.  Best to be prepared.

There are plenty of seats like this in one of the greatest ballparks in america...

thats right Fenway Park. I have sat in them before, it was cheap to say the least.

Lucky duck.  I'd give nearly anything to sit in any seat in Fenway.

But I say the obstructed view seats in Fenway were just proper planning to the Great Maple Bat Scourge of 2008.

That's too funny.  I thought in today's day & age, architects come up with a design that would no longer have obstructed views.  Guess not.

Looks like they were following the Fenway model.  Too bad that was perfected about 100 years ago.

Some idiot contractors just did the same thing in the courthouse where I used to work.  They built brand new state-of-the-art court rooms, and put giant support beams in the middle of them that totally obstruct the view of a large number of the audience.

(Obviously, I know that trials aren't quite the spectator sport that the NFL is, but still, it's unacceptable that professionals can't design a building.)
