According to a source close to the team, the Bruins are close to making a trade with the Edmonton Oilers for left wing Erik Cole.

Cole is a decent enough player, so why not, right?

Cole is a very solid impact player who fills a large need, and the Bruins would be able to hold on to all the imperative young pieces. This is a tremendous move should it go down as I'm reading. Sobotka is undersized and a solid player, but you have to give up to get, while Lashoff has been disappointingly slow to develop. Cole is worth this.

Cole for Lashoff, Sobotka, and a possible draft pick.

Excellent, excellent move IMO.

Nice move.

Not as exciting as the Celtics move.

Great move if it happens.  The B's get an impact player who fills a major hole (veteran winger with size and skill), while not giving up anything significant from their current lineup.
