Great half. Let's get that all-important 8th seed. I am pulling my hair out trying to understand this. I guess they aren't tanking now. Yay. More Gerald Wallace.

I quit trying to figure it out.

I just hope for the best anymore :)

Our defense has been solid.  But then again, it's against the Utah Jazz.
well said. i know it is utah, but to be honest it is fun to finally not have the celtics get beat up or have to play catch up. it is almost like having a glimpse of the future for this team. offensive execution. good shooting. hustle defense.

dont wake me up.

Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

How is Utah this bad with the talent they've been able to draft?

I know. The whole pre-game was an education on all of these wonderful up and coming players they have. Gobert blocks shots, Favors can score in the post, Hayward made a jump to possible #1 scoring option. I wonder what other team's studio analysts say about our guys....

I am completely lost as to what the strategy of this franchise is. Winning games playing Wallace, Prince, Thirnton, etc. is completely senseless to me. Can anyone explain what this team is doing?

They've already got a young core of Bradley, Sully, Smart, Young , KO and Zeller with Turner and Crowder possibly added to that, with lots of cap space and a ton of draft picks, including 3 potential lottery picks from Brooklyn.  They've also got a lot invested in a young coach who BADLY needs some credibility and that only comes with wins.

Mike

This is one of those agree to disagree things. They are going to win themselves out of the lottery.

Let's say it's going to take 35 wins to get the 8th seed in the East.  We'd have to go 20-19 the rest of the season to do that.  Not happening.  And the way Bass and Prince are playing, somebody is going to offer Ainge first rounders for them.

Looks like Derrick Favors is going to need a few favors to pull this one off.

Didn't Hayward say that he was better than Lebron in the offseason, lol? ::) ;D  I mean, I hate Lebron probably more than the next guy, but come on.

Celtics have been playing good basketball the last 4 games.  This was a really tough stretch -- tons of traveling, no rest between Western Conference opponents.  Good to see the players really band together and look to win.

I don't really care about the draft.  I mean, it's important, but it's secondary.  Ainge's goal is to get 1-2 max players to sign this summer.  If players have competing offers for the max, it's a lot easier to sell a playoff team with a young core looking for some stars to take it to the next level.  And the young kids need to learn to win sometime.  When was the last time the C's had a winning record on a 6-game West Coast trip?  2010?

Still think it's more likely than not that we miss the playoffs, but winning is never bad (except maybe the last few games of the year if you're already eliminated.  Then you tank!)

I think he said he was better than LeBron at video games.  I doubt LeBron would argue.
