I am completely lost as to what the strategy of this franchise is. Winning games playing Wallace, Prince, Thirnton, etc. is completely senseless to me. Can anyone explain what this team is doing?

They've already got a young core of Bradley, Sully, Smart, Young , KO and Zeller with Turner and Crowder possibly added to that, with lots of cap space and a ton of draft picks, including 3 potential lottery picks from Brooklyn.  They've also got a lot invested in a young coach who BADLY needs some credibility and that only comes with wins.

Mike

This is one of those agree to disagree things. They are going to win themselves out of the lottery.

Let's say it's going to take 35 wins to get the 8th seed in the East.  We'd have to go 20-19 the rest of the season to do that.  Not happening.  And the way Bass and Prince are playing, somebody is going to offer Ainge first rounders for them.

Mike

Currently, the 8th seed has one fewer loss than the Celts. I think the 8th seed will end up with fewer than 33 wins. Unless Ainge forces the coach's hand by trading away veterans for no players who can help this season, they might make the playoffs. I guess I will just go with the flow.

How is Utah this bad with the talent they've been able to draft?

I know. The whole pre-game was an education on all of these wonderful up and coming players they have. Gobert blocks shots, Favors can score in the post, Hayward made a jump to possible #1 scoring option. I wonder what other team's studio analysts say about our guys....

Didn't Hayward say that he was better than Lebron in the offseason, lol? ::) ;D  I mean, I hate Lebron probably more than the next guy, but come on.

Not even if  LeBron was 50 ....he d destroy Hayward

According to Scal, Bass would destroy LeBron. One thing for sure, these guys are playing hard for Stevens.

What's funny is Utah beat the Nets by almost 40 the other night. What a mess there. Good news for the nets, as they can't lose tonight.

Why can't Smart finish strong after a steal?
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

AB is an elite scorer; Sully a solid double double player; Wallace a rejuvenated veteran; Smart an All Star defender; Prince for MVP.

ha, and remember that thread that argued CBS had lost this team and they weren't play hard for him?
