Pagliuca says the Celtics have had their eyes on Tatum for a while.

Sounds like this has been AInge's guy all along.

Do people feel a bit better about the Philly trade now? If he was going to take Tatum all along, I'm glad we got the Lakers pick in addition to him.

No, I only feel worse about Ainge.

The question is, will he be Kelly Olynyk, or JR Giddens?
In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

God, imagine being a Bulls fan.

My god. What a disaster that trade is now. Banking so much on Dunn even more now.

We have to get rid of Bradley and Crowder. Those spots need talent upgrades.
Crowder, yes.  Bradley, only b/c Jaylen should move to the 2.

Boston still needs to shed salary to sign a max FA...
One of AB Smart or Crowders got to go.

And the lowered cap number doesn't help that right?

I like the Isaac pick for Orlando. Best all-round prospect available.

I thought Orlando would blow it and pick the best scorer (monk) because of how desperate their front office has been to add scoring. Good for them (front office) to not panic and make the best long term decision.

God, imagine being a Bulls fan.

They must feel awful. Who will the Bulls select? Dennis Smith Jr. or Malik Monk?
Lot of pressure for the guy selected to make an immediate impact.

Neither.  Pierce.

If Fultz or Jackson are superstars, no we won't feel better. That means his eye for talent isn't there anymore, if it was there to begin with.

Sources: Boston, Indiana talks for Paul George had gained significant momentum, but sides are still apart on a possible deal.
G

I would be stunned (regardless of what the C's send) if Danny gets PG without assurance of a long-term commitment.  I think it would be throwing away assets which I don't think Danny will do.

I hope we don't give up too much. If we did, let's hope there's assurance of a signing an extension.

Although, if we get PG, that would make it attractive for us to sign Blake Griffin, and that could make it attractive for PG to stay.

I would think BG would be much less likely to sign here if PG didn't assure that he would stay.  One year rental is unacceptable to me since it will be impossible to get PG without giving up some valuable assets.

Tatum is remarkably poised for a 19 year old.

Tatum comments to the press on CSNNE right now. A very well-spoken kid.
