Well, I figure 10K is a nice, round number and a good a time as any to reflect a bit and send out some thanks.
It’s been almost 3 years since I discovered CB and I certainly never imagined myself to become as active a poster as it turned out. I had just become a season ticket after years of strips, 6 packs, etc.. and was banking on being there on the ground-floor for the start of an Oden or Durant era. However, the ping-pong balls didn’t go our way that fateful evening and I found myself searching for solace and answers regarding the future of our Celtics. I found it at CelticsBlog after following a link on BSM. Of course, we all know that things turned around a month or two later with the some pretty notable additions and the rest is history. There’s been lots of ups and been a few downs along the way. Things haven’t always been drama-free, but I really believe that this is a best forum out there for discussion, bar none. Had some great discussions, heated debates, and just casual small-talk with quite a few of you.
So, as I hit 10K, I just wanted to say thanks to everyone out there who make this such a great community; the articles, the links, the forums. This place has it all if you’re a Celtics fan. Heck, this place gave me the opportunity to attend a Danny Ainge press conference! The people is what drives this site and there are plenty of great ones out there from staff to administration to moderators to authors to the general public. So if I can ask one thing to everyone , its “Keep it up!”. It’s been a fun ride these first nearly 3 years and 10,000 posts and we’ll see where it goes from here.
