Can anyone explain +/- to me? Does it account for defense, too? What are the actual details used to configure the rating?

It's simply what happened while that player was on the court. Like if a player comes in and the other team hits a three instantly, he's at -3.

Precisely.
Many ppl get confused and think it is some sort of advanced stats adding everything good the player did, subtracting everything bad, then dividing it by time played etc
Nothing sophisticated here, just the score of the team while the player was on court.

Most likely it'll be higher.  If my quick count is correct, 18 of the remaining games are against teams that are below .500.

I think we'll still be a top 10 bottom team, allowing us to get a pretty good pick (in a year most ppl agree the draft will be really deep) without indulging into excessive tanking. I do expect Young to take more mins in the remainder of the season.

Gotcha. Doesn't seem like a very reliable stat due to not considering factors like playing against the 2nd unit, not carrying much of the load, etc.

to be fair, he may be referring to the total record for two or more seasons.  ;D
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

At this point, I don't think the draft is particularly deep and chances are a few of the projected Europeans and freshmen won't actually declare for the draft.  Right now, I think there is a clear drop off after the top five.  To make matters worse, the Lakers look like a lock for a top 5 pick.

Are you going to be smiling when they get Okafor or Towns and then pick up a good free agent or two?
