I'm as happy as a kid who got the toy he wanted for Christmas but without the batteries.
Really like Andy Carroll, and the price tag is that because he is young and English (always pay a premium for those), really liked Suarez in the world cup, too.
The proverbial batteries would have been Charlie Adam, who would have done much to help with the creativity others have mentioned. Especially since he's left footed, something which we lack.
We defo should have splashed for Stephen Warnock as well (no idea why we let him or Adam Hammill go in the first place, one is a proven left back and the other is fast becoming one of the most exciting players in England), and maybe Ashley Young (though I'd prefer to get Arda Turan in the summer).
Regarding Torres, heh, if he doesn't want to play for us, then he can go, what I didn't like is the shirt burning, and I live in Cleveland, so I've seen it all before.
Good day for both Chelski and Liverpool. Not so much for Newcastle. They made it out with 35 million, but if history teaches us anything about their owner is that the money isn't going to get reinvested into the club.
