I really like Waters.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

Don't much like that play by Payne.  Putting a hip into an airborne player is dangerous.

He's setting the table again. Always finding the right guy to pass to at the right time.

Everybody likes to see the Timelord blocks, but his freakishly long arms and good feet could allow him to get a lot of steals.

yeah he has the raw tools, just needs to be more consistent

It's unfortunate that the C's need him to get 3 years of experience in the next 3 weeks.  If it weren't for the Lakers being the favorite in the "bubble", I wouldn't care and I'd be glad to be patient.

There were some good positives to take from this game.  Jaylen is in midseason form.  Tatum and Hayward are shaking the rust off, and Kemba had some good minutes to get his feet wet.  We need to have more consistent focus on defense.  This is the NBA and teams are going to hit shots sometimes, but we had some poor stretches where we gave them whatever shots they wanted.

Bench did some good things in the second half, but it's hard to take much from garbage time against Phoenix.

Much better than game 1, but:

Tatum continues to struggle taking it to the cup. He scores in bunches with step back, but hasn't been able to finish at the rim. He seems to end up throwing up something weak on the left side that either is blocked or hits side of rim. Maybe just needs his legs to finish better. That never was his strong suit.  Teams are collapsing on him. He needs to learn to dish out to the open guy more when that happens.  Don't mean to bash on him. His D was good, and his outside shot starting to look sweet again.

Man, Jaylen Brown is a basketball player. His game has developed so nicely.  Wish Scal would shut up calling him our number 3 option. That is ridiculous. He is 1B, if Tatum is 1A.

Time Lord is staying much more grounded. He is really working hard to stay in position, so you won't see as many blocked shots. But his overall defense is getting better.

Impressed by Romeo today.

It still looks like he puts a ton of torque on his wrist with his jump shot, but it looks better than it did and is certainly faster. He has the beginnings of  quite a few skills, really like his drive game. He's smooth.

glad to see a win.  today's hot takes:
- Brown looked like our best player again.  solid game
- Kemba looked better than I expected considering his time away from the game.
- Tatum looked good for a stretch but would really like to see more consistency from him
- Hayward had good numbers but couldn't tell you how he got them.
- Smart's ball handling was a bit disconcerting.  C's seemed to fall behind early because of his sloppy ballhandling and passing
- Semi looked good.
- Romeo started out good and then ended up not so good.
- Kanter looked better this game than last.

everyone else - Meh.

That's fine but don't go wearing Nike NBA gear, made by slave labor, and not say a word. Does China own a HUGE piece of the NBA or what? I AM serious.
